Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe staff here were so fantastic, they were friendly helpful and chatty. We had our little one year old with us and there was a cot with bedding all set up for her in our room. The hotel was central and we could walk to the centre in 10/15 mins. Reading the reviews there was complaints about the trains been too loud ... this was not the case... we could definitely hear the trains go by (our room was facing towards the tracks) but in fact, we loved watching the trains go by and they definitely didn not keep us awake at night ! Loved this hotel. Good selection of food in the morning too !

Great value for money. Friendly, helpful staff. About 7 minutes walk to train station. Even though our room overlooked the train trains it was very quiet. Excellent breakfast including meatballs and pancakes.

NorwayThat I had to fill a manual form to check myself in when I had made my booking through Booking–don't they have all that information? This is of course almost nothing so don't let it dissuade you, but if they could fix that. I just arrived after a six hour train ride and found it unnecessary.
The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was exactly what I needed and the bed was comfortable. I also liked that they had thrash sorting in the room, and a shoehorn. The room was mostly clean, and had a nice view. And the hotel has many nice restaurants nearby for different budgets.

SwedenThe walls between rooms are really like made of paper, when the person in the room next to us caughed, it felt like he was in the room with us. I can imagine that in the season and around weekends it can be a bit noisy. There has been circles from glasses on the window sill, probably the cleaner missed it. I like more “anonymous “ hotels, that are a bit bigger, but that is my personal preference
Friendly staff Location - we got a room with the view on the central station, so I was afraid we will not get much sleep because of the trains, but it was totally fine, no noise at all! The bed was pretty big and very comfortable- if you like soft mattresses The breakfast was really nice, they had everything.

SwedenNothing, everything was great. There isn't a sauna, gym etc on site but for the price I feel it was good value and I wasn't expecting these extras.
Enjoyed my one-night stay very much, the hotel is a short walk from the train station and the breakfast buffet was seriously fantastic! Didn't spend much time in the room but everything was clean and comfortable. Heating was working well.

IrelandThere is a little step between the bathroom and the room that we didn't notice and we both tripped on it and nearly fell. There should be some sort of warning sign I feel like. There was no view from our room, but I believe this was because I had requested a room facing away from the train station as I read this was loud. So you give some and take some!
Location was great - 10 min walk to main square where all the trams/trains and buses are. Breakfast was good - Would have like more fruit options though. Staff was friendly, Room was very warm when we arrived late in the cold evening. Bathroom had Shampoo, shower gel and soap from reusable bottles and not those wasteful small single use ones you tend to get in other hotels.

Staff were excellent, they always are at Scandic Hotels. Location is great, just a short 2 min walk to the Central Train Station. We arrived in the very early hours thanks to Ryanair delays but there was someone on Reception to greet us with a smile at 2am. That is great service
