Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TaiwanThe hotel is located on a busy street, so some noise is to be expected. However, what bothers me is that the soundproofing from the hallway isn't adequate. I can hear the music from the neighboring room both with and without my room door closed. Mornings are the worst; I can hear people dragging suitcases and talking in the hallway. Additionally, the bathroom is too small and lacks space for even a hairbrush on the sink.
The location is excellent. Although it requires a short walk from the MRT station to the hotel, the bustling streets and stores along the way make the stroll worthwhile. The front desk staff are also very helpful and hospitable. The hotel has three floors, all of which are access controlled by card. The open area mini-kitchen on the second floor with free snacks gives it a homely feel. Although the hotel is petite, it has almost everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Central to a really great area of diverse food and close to city too. The public guest area is great to sit and do work outside of checkin and checkout times. I had a really late flight and was able to sit comfortably with basic amenities until I needed to leave for the airport.

United StatesNo window. The room was smelly in my first day, due to urine smell from the toilet. But the staff immediately cleaned up the next day upon my complaint.
No breakfast. I like all your staff particularly Jordan who was extremely friendly and helpful. Of course, the other staff were also friendly and nice but I do not know their names as Jordan had more dealings with us.

It’s well located, comfortable bed, very clean, nice to have a verandah by the room & common sitting area. Our room is very quiet and there is a sound of rooster in the morning which gives kampong/village feel to our stay.

TurkeyEverything is well organized, even the room is small. Therefore you don’t feel like it is small. The bed was so comfortable, and clean place. The kitchen and terrace is amazing. It was so good to have your coffee and the best biscuits in the terrace :) the location is also so good, you can reach metro easily and if you want to walk it is so central too.

FranceI have been surprise by the size of the room , very small and no natural light , meaning no windows ..
I really like the spirit of the hotel , it's like an old town house in the heart of China town. I like the terrasse , the kitchen where you can enjoy a coffee , water , tea , Even the street is pretty active at night , no noises can be heard.

United KingdomThere are very little options for continental breakfast around, the only one we found that was good was Bakers Bench Bakery a few minutes away :-) The rooms are TINY! Barely enough to walk around the beds - may be it's Singapore's style, it was ok for us but good to know if you have a lot of luggage.
The location was THE best! The area is super cute, very authentic and plenty of cute little cafes and restaurants around + 2 hawkers nearby so you can find for all budgets. The hotel is very charming too and the staff very helpful!

United KingdomThe bathroom is just too small, and we didn't even book the cheapest room! There is no space to sit down on the toilet, so your knees are always on the side. They should look at adding a breakfast option in my opinion.
It's a super clean and lovely hotel, in a great spot in Chinatown, withing a gorgeous renovated building. We really loved the location, how clean it is, the free water and coffee. Staff was amazing and helped us with some admin things we needed to do for our trip.

France- can be very noisy as we are surrounded by bars, but the hotel tells you that when you book it, so don't go there if you are a light sleeper (but wearing earplugs and noice cancelling headphones made it ok for us to sleep) - the room is tiny but It was ok because you don't really need more - could have be a little bit more cleaner (TV remotes and light switch for examples could have been disinfected)
- great location, it is near a subway station, hawker center, close to the city center, safe neighborhood, easy to find - I took a Grab (equivalent to an Uber in Asia) from the airport and i believe I paid less then 22 SGD which is super nice - the staff is really nice and friendly, with a big smile on their face - free coffee, tea, water ect.. - the bed was nice - great price point for the location, if you like walking and discovering, it is great as we were able to do everything by foot, even walk until the Marina Bay Sands !
