My stay at this hotel exceeded all expectations. It’s located in a beautiful mountain setting, perfect for relaxation and exploring nature. All facilities were clean, well-maintained, and fully functional. The staff was exceptionally kind, helpful, and always ready to assist. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would definitely love to come back in the future.

Planinski dom Savica was the perfect location for the start of our hut to hut hiking in Triglav. The room was perfect for a family of three, the breakfast was generous and delicious, with eggs made to order. We had dinner there several nights and the fresh fish (orada) was exceptional. Desserts were also very good and we enjoyed several of the homemade ones. Alex worked hard to make us feel at home and create a positive environment. It was quiet at night which we appreciated. Slap Savica is just a 20 minute walk from dom Savica and we were able to do that after dinner. Also easy to walk to Lake Bohinj and enjoy the beautiful views and as long a walk as desired. We walked from dom Savica up to Slap Mostnice which is definitely doable for a day hike. From there we went on to another 2 huts higher up and ended up back at dom Savica for our last night. Everything about it was perfect!

A perfect getaway! Tucked away in the woods near the stunning Savica Waterfall, this place offers a peaceful retreat in nature without being far from key sights. The staff were exceptional — friendly, attentive, and truly welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight: fresh, delicious, and enjoyed in a laid-back, chill setting. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

The hotel is really nice, clean, staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfasts were very tasty and location is just amazing (calm, starting point to several hiking trails). We loved this hotel really a lot.

Perfect cottage in the midst of beautiful nature of Slovenia! Beautiful waterfall is only about 20mins from the cottage. The waiters were very nice to us! After difficult hiking they were willing to prepare us food, even when the restaurant was closing in 5 mins. They were also nice to help us with hiking plans. Was our first trip to Slovenia and because of this experience we would love to come back again!

The location is fantastic with many hiking destinations nearby. The staff was very nice and helpful and the breakfast was very tasty. The beds were very comfortable and the WiFi strong enough to watch the movies in the evening. There is also a free parking available. We loved it!

Excellent location as starting point for a multitude of hikes. Breakfast being served as from 7 am, so sufficiently early before your hike. Vogel cable car was s included; nice & worth it! Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Could really of done with some glasses / cups in room to get water in the night

Friendly owner/staff really went out his way to look after us. We arrived late and they opened kitchen to feed us a meal was so kind. The area is tucked away in woods, great location to see the slap savica waterfall. Beautiful

On Booking, it said half board could be added. This was in fact not possible, as the restaurant closed at 5pm when we were there (in July). The place felt a bit deserted then when the restaurant closed down, and there was no one operating the reception.

The starting point of many hikes are just outside the door, so in that regards the location is convenient. Otherwise, you have to drive to get to other restaurants, the lake, supermarket etc.

A little tighter space wise than I had imagined for four adults but worked perfectly well for two nights.

Right in the heart of walking trails for Summer. A comfortable and clean stay with welcoming staff.

The room I was given was not the room I paid for. I rented a room with a terrace, but was given a small pine box with a portal window, that still had hair and crumbs from the previous guest on the nightstand and toilet. It was the smallest room I've ever been in, and was absolutely NOT the beautiful room pictured in the photos. The owner told me he rented my room out two days before I arrived even though i had my reservations for a month before arriving. He does not understand how the app works, or how to set up the site to advertise his own business, and then blames the customer and website for his own lack of understanding. We left and did not stay there bc he just didn't care about the mistake and insisted we still pay the price for the terraced room, for our tiny coffin room he wanted us to stay in. No way, we stayed the first night and checked out first thing in the morning. Never again.
