We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomThe acoustic insulation is very bad. The wall and floor are not sound proof. I literally heard upstairs snoring the whole night. Please don't book if you are sensitive to noise.

QatarNo coffee in the rooms - was a bit strange especially for coffee lovers. Reception staff - the guy that received me was so helpful but the rest was very cold and never really made me feel welcome. Opening of the hotel - when I arrived the hotel just opened (super nice the guy went out of his way to help me). But i was a bit disappointed that all the services was not really up and running from the moment I arrived. Pillows - I think might have to be replaced they were very bad quality.
Location was ideal gave an amazing tranquil experience which was what I was looking for.

United StatesPosition of shower head and glass shower partition made it impossible not to spray water all over the bathroom floor unless you huddled in corner while showering. Rooms need some updating in terms of paint, cracked baseboards.
The view was spectacular, despite the rain/fog. Breakfast was wonderful, with great options and wait staff very attentive. Enjoyed the swimming pool, sauna, and massage options.

United KingdomWe were disappointed with the standard of the room. The sofa bed was dated and not fit for use. There were multiple insects in the room. We would have ideally liked a twin room. When we asked for bedding for the sofa bed this was met with confusion. We ended up booking an extra room so we had more space and another bed. When we discussed the issues with staff they were accusatory in response. I was confronted in the breakfast hall which made me feel uncomfortable. On another evening we asked if there was space in the restaurant. We were bluntly told no. Overall we were not satisfied with the stay The hotel is dated. The beds uncomfortable and the staff were especially helpful or polite. I think there are nicer hotels at better value in Bled.
The location is away from the busier side of lake bled with nice views of the lake

United KingdomVery old fashioned decor in public areas & rooms. Quite a long walk from the main bus station but only 2 mins away from the train station
The evening dinner was excellent & I enjoyed the sauna & complimentary bicycle hire to cycle round the lake although it's quite a ride back up the hill to the hotel!

United KingdomThe furniture in the room was very old and shabby and really not up to the four star rating of the hotel. Our wardrobe door didn't close properly and creaked loudly every time you opened or closed it. The bathroom looked dated and the shower was one of the worst we had experienced. You had to run it for at least a minute before hot water came through and this didn't guarantee that the water would remain at this temperature, sometimes running very cold and ending up lukewarm. One time the duvets were changed and they were still damp, something we didn't pick up on till we got into bed. It was late so we ended sleeping under the spare blankets provided but neither of us slept well that night. At breakfast the female staff were excellent but one male staff member was not so good. My wife ordered coffee and he brought something which tasted pretty bad. She asked him to replace it and he laughed and brought another cup of the same stuff. This happened on the next two days he served. The coffee provided by the other staff members was always good? We gave up on the poached eggs after a few days because the whites were runny and never properly cooked. Reverted to omelettes as an option but these were slightly overcooked and a little dry. The rest of the food however was very good.We often had to ask for more glasses or a teapot for breakfast drinks because not enough had been put out, a small detail but annoying for four star accommodation. Also the in the evenings the receptionist was not there and often I had to wait 5 minutes or more before going off in search for them. Perhaps my most contentious issue regarding the hotel is it's location. It occupies a spot with beautiful views but it is 40 minutes walk from the centre of Bled and there is a steep hill to negotiate at the start and end of the walk. The weather was very hot during most of our stay so this was pretty exhausting. Taxis are also pretty expensive.
The hotel has beautiful views over Lake Bled, however there are no grounds attached to it so you are confined to views from your balcony. The staff overall were friendly and helpful. Room was a decent size although smaller than anticipated. The beds were very comfy and the hotel quiet so we slept very well. The lounge and stairway areas were attractively decorated and the dining room had a beautiful aspect with lake views as did the pool and sauna area. There was a good selection of breakfast options and flexibility in the way you ordered and overall this was good value for money.

GermanyThe unfriendly guy on reception, super unpleasant, very strange choice of person to appoint as your front of house, you need to change this! 1)The bedroom roof window was super dirty. 2)The pillows are horrendous 3)The mattress is extra hard 4)The bathroom was tired (shower hose/head inadequate) 5)The dining options are limited

BelgiumWe booked the wine tasting and was confirmed but that was cancelled last minute. We had dinner and expected a lot but we were not impressed neither by the food nor the service. There were nice empty tables near the window with wonderful view but they put is further away. There is no bar to have a drink afterwards. And the music was too loud. So not really the romantic diner we were hoping for. So we were a bit disappointed after reading lovely reviews.
Beautiful view on the lake but a bit far from everything. Nice swimming pool. Breakfast is fine.

United KingdomIn all honesty we didn’t think the hotel was value for money. The room lacked a level of comfort for us and felt quite dated. Breakfast, served by such a lovely gentleman, was ok. The self serve area for drinks etc again felt very dated. All members of staff were very gracious and helpful but overall we felt the hotel lacked atmosphere., despite the beautiful views

United KingdomFortunately able to upgrade for 2 nights as original room only had skylights. Not made clear when booking on line. From a personal perspective I would not describe Hotel Triglav as Boutique, more Traditional Family Run Slovenian Hotel. Bit annoying no wine tasting available and the bar was not in use, but the pool was great. We thought the fine dining experience was somewhat pretentious and not appropriate. It has to be really good to be a success and to be honest it was a bit underwhelming and very expensive. More traditional cuisine would be in our view more appropriate
Old school traditional Slovenian hotel, Great location and view if you had a balcony room.

Would be good to have other dinner options other than the fine dining- we couldn’t eat in our room with room service unless we sat on the bed. No bar or outside area as shown in the photos

United StatesPillows were terrible and really, really flimsy, no support at all. Some kind of a nasty nude female wall art by the bed that was totally out of place. Antique chairs in the room could have been great but had uncomfortable springs. No coffee in the room. Just a lot of little things that added up. Would stay elsewhere, like Grand Hotel Toplice.

GuernseyLack of a bar for guests to meet in. Small lounge would have been cosey but the fire needed to be lit all day long at this time of the year. Large dining table occupied by hotel staff on laptops took up room where loung furniture should be Had to ask for lights in swimming pool to be put on and sauna not pre-heated for guests No boot room for dirty walking boots or wet outdoor clothing. Had to wash dirty boots in bedroom dirtying white towels important as the hotel is well placed for walking trails Although advertised as fine dining only, the fine dining did not live up to expectations and in my opinion, having experienced fine dining, it fell short of value for money. May I suggest that an alternative wholesome cafe style menu could be served in the underused bar on the lower ground floor

United KingdomThere was no coffee in the room, although there was a kettle and tea bags (no milk). When we went to reception to ask for some, we were told no, we would have to order some on room service.. I thought this was a bit odd. The restaurant was also full on our visit on a Sunday evening. I was disappointed that we had not been advised to book ahead, but appreciate this was my fault! (Reception staff did recommend a really good restaurant in town and helped us book a taxi to this since there is nowhere else you can walk to for dinner.)

United KingdomThe second night evening meal was nothing like the standard of the first evening the cold pork and cold gravy course was unpleasant with a lump of gristle in it. The second breakfast had scrambled egg with yolk and egg white separated and very runny, just not nice. The standard in food was very different.
View beautiful, everything comfortable but the room controls lit up the whole room at night everything else was lovely. The fish tasting menu was really good and so was the first breakfast. Location great.

Canadait felt as though we were bothering the staff. they were helpful when issues arised. However, they passed comments and we felt pressured to take reservations (supper and breakfast). No menu was provided to make a decision. We decided to explore the city and eat elsewhere. Upon arrival, we were asked where we are. Also, there is no view from the rooms. Only a high window with nothing visible. There is nothing close to the location, which is why they pressure you for restaurant reservations. you absolutely need a car and there are very limited parking spaces. The AC in the room was not functional. Once fixed, it barely cooled down the room. For the value of the room, we were not satisfied.
the property was well maintained.
