How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

We arrived quite late by which time there were few options for parking - we managed to squeeze the car in on a side street.
Spacious apartment, attached lounge, big bedroom, full bathroom. Check-in and local sightseeing details came through as a series of useful little Whatsapp videos, very easy to follow. In a lovely little village with great views back up to the three towers of San Marino.

An amazing room with a terrace. More like a room in the castle. It was for sure the top accomodation during our Italian trip. Very nice host. Highly recommend!

only shower in tub
cannot expect more since the hotel is located in center of the town just behind the church, public parking in front of church, but some times it is full. nice staff sent lots of videos to show how check in out of opening hour of reception, as well as check out. Rooms are little bit old school but it is styled, tidy and large enough.

It was all great
Beautiful building and rooms. Great host who sent videos on how to do self check in, enter the building and access your room. A video tour of the rooms and how things worked was also sent. Tourist information as where to park in San Marino, how to get discounts and how things work in the city was provided in another video. Other hosts could learn from this host as to providing instruction and providing top quality customer service

Actually nothing to complain about. Maybe new towels.
We enjoyed our stay very much in the spot. The village is beautiful and surrounded by lovely people. We wish to be there again.

The AC didn't seem to work in our room so it was a bit too warm.
Location was perfect . In a small town, so it was very quiet. Beautiful rooms, and large bathroom. Staff was also very friendly and helpful!

I think charge €2.50 for a teabag is a bit much especially when place is not staffed and can’t get a tea or coffee at the hotel. Made up for the excellent cafe around the corner which provides a great service and very reasonable prices.
Lovely location. Excellent communication from the staff about arrival and departure procedures. Answered questions promptly.

We arrived late and there wasn’t much available in the area - managed to get some paninis from the bar in the village.
Four poster bed was amazing and balcony was out of this world.

This place is absolutely incredibly spacious - we chose the room with balcony and was actually offered a full on terrace with Garden furniture, ideal for stargazing, admiring the 3 towers in the distance and enjoying coffee in the morning whilst listening to the birds singing . The host sent us all video information on WhatsApp before arrival and was easy to find our way around; he was also at the reception(reception open between 5p and 8 pm) when we arrived and gave us all the info and recommendation we needed for enjoying out time in San Marino. I wasn't sure what to expect as the place was significantly cheaper than other places in San Marino but I am impressed. There are delicious coffee pods in the room at 0.70 p each - really good value for money. There is cafe nearby which serves really good coffee /pastries and sandwiches, a pasta and pizza restaurant recommended by host 5 minutes drive (55 minutes walk 🤭) - do try the house wine,is excellent and San Marino castle is 15 minutes drive. P.s. San Marino is also a great place to fill your tank 🤗

This was a huge room and an exceptionally large bathroom for the price. A jacuzzi bath, mini bar and coffee machine added to the experience. San Marino was a short drive (about 10 mins) which is a spectacular place. The property itself was in a quiet village with parking just a few metres away in the main square. We were appreciative of parking the motorbike right outside however. Lovely Italian restaurant just a 2-3 min drive up the hill which was recommended by the owner here - delicious food and great service.

No problem if you just stay for a couple of nights, but the mattrasses in our room were not the best, a little worn out.
Cozy old building right in the centre of Montegiardino. Our room was very spacious, clean and bright, we even saw Monte Titano from our window. Parking is (usually) no problem in front of the church, but read the sign at the spot. We also got a tourist card for San Marino, which gave us several discounts (at Museums in RSM etc).

Great location, big bedroom and bathroom. Our host was amaizing, he sbowed everything for us, gave us San Marino card which gives a 50% discount on visiting museums! The relation between the price and the quality is 10/10

EVERYTHING WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!
The owner was amazing, he helped us with absolutely everything. He gave us hic contact so we could text him in any part of the day, and he answered even when we wrote at 11pm. If yo dont come with the car there is also a bus station that takes you to the center of San Marino but there are no buses on sundays.
