The coffee. The coffee is awful. The WiFi isn't great. No fridge - a fridge would make a lot of difference. Too many families - children crying early in the morning, parents stressed in the evening.

Friendliness and helpfulness of staff, wildness, beautiful beach with several bars and restaurants. The big pirates hip rock. The friendly dogs. Transport made easy.

The beach is full of rocks and it is difficult to swim. The bungalow is very basic and gets super hot during the day and night.

The staff is very nice! Very quiet, remote location. There is no shops around only few other bungalows.

The internet was there, but ... frustratingly patchy. I had a Thai SIM in my phone anyway so in theory no problem, but a booster wouldn't hurt - other places seemed to do internet ok. It's worth reminding you, this is a cut off part of the island , not even a little shop nearby. if you want to get around some, you'll be hiring a scooter - which you can easily do.

Breakfast was included and good value. Rooms were basic but fine and were cleaned every day. Every place had a decent sitting out area - but no sea views. The shower provided hot water, nice for a shave, and the bathroom was reasonable. The restaurant was pleasant and comfortable. Food was decent and affordable. There was a nice tree shaded area with plenty of deck chairs just off the beach. Staff were friendly and attentive. Not a lot to do as they warn, more so on this northern most bay on the west side, but that suited me fine. There are 4 or 5 other little beach set ups, some more smokier than others and with a defined 'bar' bywhich I enjoyed visiting from time to time. There was a mix of visitor types while I was there, solo like me, but also couples, families with little children ... everyone seemed happy at Coral bay. Bearing in mind the lowly star rating, I thought Coral Bay was extremely good value. You might be paying a bit extra for location, but I'd happily book there again.

The rooms are very very basic. Please be prepared for that. We booked a room with a fan and the heat was quite overpowering at times. However, we booked that so absolutely no complaints at all.

Fantastic friendly and attentive staff, Relaxed tranquil chilled atmosphere. Food in the restaurant was excellent and we will definitely be returning. We were sad to leave!

The rooms need a few extra things such as a kettle, fridge and generally more plug sockets (there was only one). Also the wifi is really bad.

The location is perfect and the resort has such a relaxing atmosphere. The staff are nice and can help arrange anything you need such as boat trips, scooters, airport transfers. The food is good and the prices are reasonable.

Nothing was bad, We loved every part of it. Just a heads up the WiFi doesn’t really work, but we had our Thai SIM cards and got perfect 4G so just make sure you have a sim. Not a lot to do here either hut we spent 3 days and that was a perfect time to full relax on the beach!

The most amazing location, one of the most peaceful and relaxing Thai islands we have visited. The staff were so friendly and helpful, helped us book our transfer to the next island. Bungalow was big and mosquito net helped out immensely. The deck chairs on the beach made it so relaxing, and the restaurant served some lovely Thai food. For the amount you pay you get an incredible stay on a remote Thai island.

The Seaview villa 2 was hardly a Seaview. There is just one poweroutlet in the room, a second one would have been nice. The lights above the bed weren't working, for reading in bed you had to use the room lightning. The menu was big, but a view pages weren't available, maybe letting people know in advance before you have already chosen the "wrong" dish.

We liked the remote location. The staff was very helpful organizing and booking cooking class and transportation.

Because of its remote location, there could be more facilities like a free drink water dispenser and hot water to make coffee or tea (however, they gave it to us every day when we asked for it). there are no shops around or local restaurants and the restaurant is expensive by Thai standards.

The bungalows are incredibly good value for money. Very clean, new towels every day and two small bottles of drinking water.

not enough beach lounge chairs to go around. food was expensive compared to other areas of the island. it’s a long-ish walk to the scooter parking lot. it was very hot at night

the owner is very nice and has all the amenities available for the guests. there are resort dogs here, who make a very friendly atmosphere. it’s right on the beach and scooter rental is available so you can get away from the resort. it’s clean and the mosquito net was a blessing. one with nature at this resort

Hard to say anything

If you arrive with scooter the road to the bungalow can be challenging. But from where the main road ends only 5-10 minutes walk.

The warm welcome from Aew, she is the perfect host. Food was really good. Bungalows was very clean. Really loved this quiet “secret” beach. Perfect place for some relaxing days. Would love to come back.

I would like to suggest to perhaps implement water fillers instead of using plastic bottles. Our room was very hot a few days as it was at the top and didn't have much shade but we got used to it. Beside that it's very worth to visit it.

Pretty much everything was amazing. Friendly local staff. Aew was very sweet and super professional, helpful everytime and Mr. Brown (I think that is his nickname) was very cute and we chatted a lot during our stay. Everyone looks after you and it's a family business. The location is superb and tranquile. Beautiful sunsets and chilled area. Paradise!

Unfortunately, the Corel Bay Resort really disappointed us. This was particularly due to the extremely unfriendly staff, who would rather sit on the guest loungers and look at their cell phones than do anything else. When you approach them to spend your hard-earned money (ordering something) you get a lot of bored and annoyed looks. Especially from the receptionist/waiter aka the manager's little sister. The room smelled of mold, there were ants everywhere, the food was poor, and the internet didn't work either! Unfortunately no place to feel comfortable. The two other families who were here also all left earlier than planned...

We really liked the island and the beach!
