There was a small hiccup during checkout, which got solved in a good way by the general manager.

The overall experience was super good at Melia Koh Samui. The resort is located on a lovely bay which (luckily) not so extreme busy with mass tourism. Breakfast was very well with good quality, made possible by the lovely staff. All the staff is super friendly and supportive all around. Highly recommend this Resort if you prefer a bit of luxury and laid back stays. 10/10

Soundproofing between rooms is nonexistent so a few continuous nights of noisy neighbours was mildly annoying.

Excellent pool, with separate kids pool area and playroom. Swim up bars and access directly from your room. Rooms were smallish but very comfortable.

This is a big hotel, can be a 10 min walk from the room to the pool. There are limited beds in the main pool area where guests “put towels or bags” early morning - the staff should do a better job at stopping this annoying phenomenon

Good location, beautiful beach and wonderful pool area. Very rich and diverse breakfast, great pool slides for kids. We enjoyed spending time in the resort’s facilities.

There were no lifts which we were unaware of and having 2 older people with knee problems and 3 kids in strollers it was frustrating to have to go up and down and leave the strollers at the bottom of the stairs. The staff especially max were very helpful in trying to accommodate a room change to better support our group

Beautiful facilities from the pools to the lagoon and the rooms were just beautiful. The rooms were spacious and the balcony a wonderful size and nice with the bath and couch.

Minor gripe, we found a used slipper under bed so room cleaning maybe not where it should be for this price hotel. Overall resort was spotless and this didn't bother us at all.

Super location. Great clean beach. No problem with sun loungers. Great staff. Loved the level access. Used the hotel shuttle to Chaweng, good value and efficient. Had use of a room at no extra charge to shower as we were leaving late in day. Loved it, would highly recommend.

Pricing could be more competitive considering bars and restaurants not 10 yards away on beach more than half price for drinks, would better also state prices including the 2 charges on top of price quoted I know it states it on menu etc but still would be better to include so know end price whenever

The beach was nice, and relaxed, but Chaweng beach for instance is a bit more beautiful (but way too crowded!). Just stay here, enjoy the resort and go to Chanweng beach or one of the other nicer beaches as a daytrip.

What's not to like about this place? We loved it all! Beautiful resort, huge pool, well maintained, elegant furniture and decorations, delicious food, super friendly staff, fun activities and live music on Sunday while enjoying our Sunday brunch, so good!

The fact that the swim up pool bar doesn’t face the beach. Also the exec lounge roof top wasn’t well suited for everyone.

Location was superb, we had everything we needed and the staff were super friendly. Our kids loved the grounds and multiple pools and games areas.

Food was surprisingly ordinary. Breakfast was fine, but the other restaurant main menu has been so westernised that it seemed like club food in Australia. Almost no Thai food. (I guess thats what this generation of guests wants.) The exception was the Tapas menu (same restaurant) with some genuinely Spanish iconic dishes - and Spanish speaking staff (many of whom didn't speak Thai. Bizarre.) Nearby hotels and beach restaurants were much the same. Still love this hotel tho.

Pool access was unbeatable. I recommend booking The Level if you can stretch your budget. Not just for pool access but for the 'club' which gave oldies especially a place to engage with other guests at almost any time. (Free cocktail hour especially. :). Nice big / safe terrace for kids too.

Extra deposit surprise at check-in, half-board dinner just allow from al la carte, the big pool water was too hot sometimes

I didn’t like the whole pool towel process of bringing them to the pool and take back to the room each day. One of the days our towels got soaked in the rain and we had to carry these really heavy wet towels back to the room-wish they just kept pool towels near the pool area instead of us carrying the towels. Sounds so silly and small but when you’re on holiday I like the ease of things

Everything was perfect. Absolutely nothing to even comment for improvement.

Located within 10 minutes from the airport. Beautiful hotel on a small beach. The beach was very clean and calm waters. Not many people selling stuff like on Chaweng beach. But the area is a lot more quiet than Chaweng so does depend on what you like. The hotel most likely the best in this area and in close walking distance to small shops, restaurants and massage places (all within 5 minutes of walking). The staff are all extremely friendly and helpfull with anything that is needed and any time.

The room is well equipped, clean and beautiful. The hotel staff is very kind and provides the best service.

Didn’t expect to have to deposit 2000 baht per night, spa facilities are a rip off, especially the sauna costing near £30 for 30 mins of use.

Melia is a great place to stay, facilities are top notch and always kept clean and inviting. Staff are very helpful.

Amazing resort in Koh Samui! Very tropical ambience, great pool and lazy river. Also good access to the beach!
