Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

GermanyIt will be good to have a breakfast offer. The hotel terrasse is a suitable place for that. Even a simple breakfast will be fine.
The hotel is a 5–7-minute walk from Sultanahmet Square and the tramway stop. Many important sites, like the Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sofia Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, and Topkapi Place, are within walking distance. Other sites are easily reachable by tram T1. The hotel personnel are very friendly. The room was clean and freshly renovated. The shower cabin was convenient with a good cold/hot water supply. The room facilities included a TV, a safe, and a fridge.

PeruThey have a balcony with a beautiful view but it’s completely unused and dusty. The street is very loud so its hard to sleep though thats not their fault.
Good staff, clean place and worth the money. Location is good as its close to both mosques and many restaurants.

PolandQuite intense smell of cigarettes, probably from the ventilation - every morning. Uncomfortable, hard bed. Stains on the towels (I hope only because they are probably very old). The staff doesn't speak English. Zero privacy and data security rules. They make a copy of your ID document. They should just write down the ID number. This is very bad practice. There are also papers with scans on the desk. Not good place for people who can not sleep next to quite loud bars with music, etc.
Good location, just ok hotel. Nice for short stay.

United KingdomIt would’ve been good for the rooms to be provided with a kettle and some water. But this isn’t really a big deal, as there’s a shop right next to the hotel which sells water. They have a lovely terrace, which isn’t used, but if it was cleaned, would have been a really nice place to sit in the evening.
It was in an excellent location, within walking distance of everything you want to see. The staff were friendly and rooms very clean. The beds were comfortable and the accommodation seemed to be recently renovated.

HungaryThe hotel is nice and comfortable! Very close to the sights (Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia) only 5 minutes on walk. The street is very crowded at night, so the hotel room is a little loud. The staff was very nice and helpful! It was very cheap, so we could not find a chiper and better hotel at this time, when we were there (july 17 to july 23). The breakfast is very simple, but it was enough for us. They serve the breakfast on the hotel roof, and the view is amazing! You can see the sea, the Blue Mosgue and te Hagia Sophia tehere! If we go back to Turkey, we go back to the Star Hotel!

United States of AmericaThere’s no elevator (I think that’s common in Turkey though) so going up and down 4 flights of stairs is a bit annoying. The breakfast is pretty basic, we had to ask for eggs. There wasn’t really anything wrong with the hotel, it’s just a basic hotel, so it’s not anything fancy or luxurious.
Great location - you’re super close to the popular mosques and about a 5 min walk to the Sultanahmet station which can get you anywhere. The rooms were a good size and clean. Good shower with hot water. The staff were friendly and helped us with whatever we needed.

United Arab EmiratesSuper loud music from the restaurant/pubs next to the hotel. When I came back from dinner around 10 pm, it was already loud outside, they put the music super loudly, it gave me a headache, obviously I couldn’t sleep it was impossible. I complained to the stuff, he did nothing and couldn’t speak English either. He told me this noise will be finished maximum at 2 am but it wasn’t. I ended up checking out this terrible hotel and booked a different hotel to escape at 3 am. How bad my experience was. I really don’t recommend this hotel, definitely pay extra to stay other hotels. Worst hotel ever.
The room was clean enough, very close to the Aya Sofia and Blue mosque.
