Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

very attentive staff. Helpful with our upcoming bookings in the hotel for 2 more nights. Rubin st the front desk reserved same room for us. Very good breakfast.

WiFi was a bit slow at times. Breakfast could have had more variety, but it was in line with the size of the room (a bit small).
The room was very spacious and comfortable. I requested room service (dinner) twice and it was all efficient and good. Excellent location. Good value for money.

I would have preferred a larger desk in my room and a drawer for clothes etc.
Excellent location at a super price! Super room with a sea view, quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast, nice bar and reasonable menu for bar food and room service. Lovely staff, very helpful.

Room size was small even they upgraded us to superior no space to put all your stuff Barely enough for 2 and wouldn’t recommend for more than 2. Breakfast items are limited and the same everyday

The price tag doesn’t match the facility much. The rooms are pretty small and the facilities, though kept clean, are pretty dated. For this value, I would definitely expect a complimentary breakfast included in the room rate, that would level up the cost. However this is not the case with the breakfast being priced at €13 per person. Definitely not worth it and I instead had breakfast in the cafes nearby. But I would urge the hotel to consider including it as part of the room rate. The rooms are unfortunately not soundproof as stated. The lift, which goes in the middle of building, is well heard when in operation, the sounds of the room service in the hall - be it a trolley or vacuum cleaner - are well heard in the room and won’t let you sleep in case you want to sleep in in the morning. When lights are off, one can clearly see the light from the hall penetrating through the perimeter of the door - a good indication of the lack of soundproof door. I haven’t stayed in summer, but in September the room got very hot during the day. I suspect this rooms heats up considerably in summer. The water pressure in shower was very weak. You can wash, but if you expect to take a good shower at normal pressure - forget it. Didn’t work out for me.
The location is great. Walking proximity to Sisli Metro Station, Cevahir Mall and other nearby sites. Practically across the street a Carrefour store and a Starbucks. Other dining places, bars, pharmacies, convenience stores and other facilities within a couple of minutes walk. The hotel, though with a little dated facilities, is clean and customer service is good. Bearing the Marmara brand, the hotel staff acted professionally. The check-in and check-out were smooth and didn’t require much interaction with the front desk. The room was clean with crispy clean bedsheets. The bathroom was clean and I loved the cell shaped tiles in the shower floor.

I believe the breakfast is really expensive at the hotel.
As a well-known brand, the hotel is very nice with a spacious room and an amazing view of the city, even the sea (our room was on the 11th floor), It is very close to transportation. Lots of cafes etc around. A few free options of tea and coffee are available in the room with one free bottled water per person given every day. I can't comment on breakfast since we didn't have any.

No sound proof between rooms, you can hear everything from the next rooms, breakfast was not bad , we asked the hotel to book taxi to airport at a specific time and they booked it before that time, the taxi guy was upset bcz he had to wait ( as per our calculation he waited for 5 minutes) but he was there 15 minutes before and he charged us 835 TLR instead of the agreed price with hotel 650 TLR which we don’t like.
Place is good, bed is comfortable and hotel is clean

Marmara is my first choice for my business trips to Istanbul. Location is super convenient, at few minutes walking from the ceramic tiles shops in the area. The staff is very friendly and facilities are comfortable. Special thanks to Hayri who made me discover the InDrive app for taxi booking.
