Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalThe staff were very friendly. Breakfast was absolutely amazing, prepared and cooked by Madam Ayten and served by Mr Abti; this couple go beyond expectations and add the layer of autenthicity that is so hard to find these days. A wonderful experience. The location (in Cavusin) is rather secluded, hence quite silence. Waking up in the morning and just hearing the sounds of nature was wonderful.

GermanyThe place needs some maintenance and freshening up. Some more decoration and furniture deep clean/replacement would make a big difference. We had a fireplace but no firewood was provided which was a shame. It was still cold enough at night that a fire would have been cozy. We also had some sort of consistent dripping of water from the ceiling, making a dangerous puddle in the hallway (slippery rock plus water is no good). It took a very long time to get hot water, which when trying to fill a giant bathtub, feels quite wasteful. The little village closes super early and there are very few options, with high prices considering the location (550 TL for a hookah in a cafe with zero vibe). So if you are looking for nightlife, this wouldn't be the right choice.
We stayed in the Presidential Cave Suite. What a great room! We had more than enough space and what's not to love about a giant sunken bathtub for two? The older couple who took care of us were a delight. Very attentive and ensured we had everything we could want. The breakfast was outstanding and made fresh with love. Looking out onto the abandoned historical cave village is also super cool. If you manage to wake up early it's a great location to watch the sunrise hot air balloons.

PortugalWe had an amazing experience at this hotel. The building is incredibly beautiful, the staff so warm and friendly!! - and we loved the fact that is located in a small village, away from the very touristic area of Goreme and yet just next to Rose Valley, Imagination Valley, Avanos and other hot spots. We would definitely go back!!!

Very friendly local staff - Fatih at the reception, Abdi around breakfast tables and Ajhoui in the kitchen - unforgettable, delicious, healthy breakfasts, in a warm atmosphere! The best located hotel in entire Cappadocia: in a small and quiet village but just neighboring the main attraction places (Goreme, Avanos). the last building in one side of the village (so super-calm!), at the junction of 3 valleys for great hikes, extremely spacious, magnifically crafted cave rooms - good value for money! All kind of tourist activities organized by them, including local hammam. Great place, great time!

GermanyWe can recommend the hotel. But you should be aware it is made in a cave, therefore it is impossible to reach the comfort of some modern new building... so if you are prepared to some smaller imperfections you will really enjoy your stay.
It was really unique experience to spend the night in a cave room. We got upgrade to a biger appartment, thank you for it! The location is good - and the view is gorgeous. Early morning the hot air baloons are flying all arround, some of them very near :-) The breakfast was served (very nicely) in extrodinary cave-room, and was very tasty. The couple taking care of the hotel and the breakfast were so welcoming and kind.

LithuaniaWe really liked the hotel inside the rock of the mountain. Authentic, nice furnished. Convenient. Not far from attractions. In the morning, you can watch the balloons flying over the valley from the balcony. Breakfast is very tasty, with traditional Turkish dishes. You can also order a traditional Turkish dinner. The hostess has been working here for 30 years. and the food is truly homemade and made with love. The staff is very friendly, helpful, always ready to advise and help to make your stay really wonderful. Really enjoyed our stay in Cappadocia.

GermanyReally nothing.
The location and the atmosphere is just priceless. The tranquility and beauty of the view from the terrace mesmerizing. The rooms are spacious and beautifully carved stone caves. Everything is clean and authentic here. The service by Mustafa Bey, Abdi Bey, Ayten Hanım and Fatih the receptionist leaves nothing to be desired. The breakfast is simple but sufficient and Ayten Hanım serves you Gözleme and other Turkish specialties every morning freshly baked.

The prefect cave hotel away from the downtown. Fatih (assistant) gave me a room where you can wake up in perfect morning light, trees and scenic view. By discovery, the place is so close to rock formation, hiking area, balloon and having a breakfast there is just so homy.

United KingdomJust a minor thing: I was hoping there would be a restaurant in the hotel based on the listed facilities. You can order food in the hotel from a limited menu with an hour's notice. In any event, it does not matter because there are great restaurants within walking distance (e.g., Cappa Gusto and Seyyah Han).
The hotel is situated in an excellent location between Goreme and Avanos, with five minutes' drive to Paşabağı Valley and 30 minutes' drive to Kaymakli Underground City. It is nicely tucked at the end of a street, facing the old village ruins of Çavuşin, which is also an interesting place to visit. When you climb up the ruins before sunrise, you see balloons flying over your head. From my room window, I could see the old village ruins of Çavuşin and the balloons. It is a very delightful and quiet neighbourhood. The bedroom was spacious. The bathroom was also very spacious. Very generous portion of breakfast which includes eggs, cheeses, chess rolls, bread, olives, vegetables and fruits. Very helpful members of staff who were there to answer questions and help with queries. I had my airport transfers (from and to airports) arranged. The best thing for me was the car park. I had a rental car which I didn't want to park in the street. I could park the car inside the hotel.

IrelandThe village cave hotel is absolutely beautiful. The staff make you feel so special. The food is all freshly cooked. It's like you are staying in their home. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are such a wonderful experience of sleeping in a cave. If you are looking for a good place to view the hot air balloons then you can't get better than the village cave hotel. The balloons come so close you can nearly touch them.
