Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

the shower and toilet was a bit hard to use for me and my colleague as it was made out of privacy glass, however it was still quite see through, if you are not a couple and come here for a works meeting with a colleague it’s probably best to book two single rooms, if you like privacy.
everything was perfect, the room is clean and the location is very close to all the main spots in Kyiv. staff were friendly and very helpful. I wish Kyiv peace in its future, so many more can visit.

I just loved the place! The staff is very polite and pleasant. The hotel itself is located in a beautiful part of old city. Breakfast is super delicious. Shower and bed are a delight. Everything is very clean. Design is beautiful, smart and convenient. One of my favourite parts was to sit early morning on the balcony and listen to Kyiv slowly waking up.

Very nice and comfortable place in the heart of Podil. Friendly and helpful staff, perfect location. It still amazes me how the Ukrainians keep going strong in these difficult circumstances. much respect. And they make good coffee too.

With the power being out half of the time over my 7 day stay, a discount would have been nice but still paid full price. Not an issue as I understand business still need to operate regardless of the circumstances but that's really the only thing I would change. Overall this is an amazing hotel
The staff was amazing and went out of their way to accommodate me during all of the power outages due to Russian missile strikes. Very nice and professional during my week long stay

Everything was great.
This is our third stay at this cute little hotel in Kyiv. Hotel staff were very helpful, speak great English and responded to all our needs. They even upgraded us to a better room at no additional charge. Room was clean and well designed. Thank you for such a pleasant stay.

There was nothing we didn’t like! But if you’re looking for a “vibey” hotel then this isn’t it. We wanted a stylish and quiet hotel, so this was perfect.
We liked the room, it’s a good size, everything is new and the beds comfortable. We especially loved the rain shower! The location is very central and you can easily explore from there. The metro station is very close too. The staff was really nice and were helpful with whatever we needed. All in all I can definitely recommend this place!

Great location, friendly staff, very clean, modern. Located in the heart of Podil with lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. Andriyivski Uzviz starts just around the corner. The street itself is quiet, however.

That's my second stay with KONTRAKT Boutique Hotel and I'm definitely coming back :) The location is wonderful, you can explore the city by foot, everything is close and nearby. Rooms themselves are very clean, quite spacious, very nicely decorated and most importantly - beds are gooood! Really enjoyed staying there, special kudos to very friendly staff :)

i wasn’t sure whether the Netflix account on the tv was the one of the hotel or of the last guest who logged on, but this is a minor detail
The room is excellent, with a large balcony where to have a hot beverage. The location is ideal, and the personnel very helpful.

No lift but this is not a major issue as 2 floors only.

Standard room didn’t have a fridge/mini bar. 1st floor is a little bit noisy if you open the window and people pass by, however this can easily be fixed by closing the window and turning on AC

Good sound proofing to the outside however sound proofing between rooms could be better, e.g the door in room 101 made quite a thud every time someone opened the hotel entry door. While in bed in room 201, you could hear toilet flushing in adjoining room. A/C did not work for first 3 nights. Staff attended to this complaint, however technical team asserted nothing wrong with A/C. The A/C worked great in other rooms I moved to later.
Overall, one of the best boutique hotel experiences. Most boutique hotel ideas do not turn up so great. This hotel was certainly a good one. Amazing location, in a quiet corner but walking distance to many attractions and dining options. Very accommodating and helpful staff, lovely interior and exterior.
