The condo units are old and maintained but some rooms just look tired . Instead of updating they slap on a coat of paint .

The location was outstanding! The 2 huge pools and 2 hot tubs were perfect .

Specifically L304 - A few things could be added to the kitchen gadgets, and a "cheat sheet" for each of the (different) AC controllers would have been helpful. Wish the property had an actual beach, but the property makes up for it with all the lawns, pools, chairs etc.

The waterfront unit we had (L304) was recently remodeled and very nice. Everything worked, and there were no issues. The lawns, pools and property were great, with beautiful landscaping. Very helpful staff. Location right near grocery shopping, restaurants and the Food Truck Park! 5-10mins to Kaanapali beaches and area.

The room carpet was dirty. There were roaches. The bed was uncomfortable and so was the furniture. The chair had torn arms. Furniture looked dirty. For the price it should be upgraded. Parking was terrible!!!

We paid for a room with ocean view. We got partial view with the cabana blocking a main view. Even though we reserved a studio with ocean view and got an upgrade to a one bedroom, the view was the main desire.

The location is nice, it's a beach front property. Shopping is within walking distance. Papakea is always clean and consistent--you know what you're going to get.

Old room, not superclean, the dryer blew out into the room, making everything moist.

Pools and amenities (golf, tennis, pickleball, shuffleboard) as well as organised activities were nice. Access to the ocean and very good location.

Ocean view is completely misleading; yes there is an ocean but there’s a wall/barrier and absolutely zero beach or access points. Resort had generator for front desk but no amenities for guest when power was out for extended period of time. Parking was limited and sometimes available spaces not near the building we were staying.

-The balcony next door extended further out than ours and the guests next door were on their balcony extremely loud late at night. It sounded like they were in our living room. -WIFI didn't work almost the whole time we were there. They sent someone to fix it and they never came until a day after they said they would come. By that time it was the end of our stay.

Cockroaches in the kitchen despite them spraying at the beginning of the week. Kitchen needs to be better stocked- both with utensils/dishes and then at least salt and pepper. Had to ask for bedding and blanket for pull out bed even though listed 4 people on our reservation.

Amazing views from our balcony and all around the property! Nice to be able to BBQ and watch the sunset from the pool area. Great little sandy beach to walk to at sister property next door.

Is it a bit isolated, as in not really walking distance from anywhere. The toilet clogged twice and some of the parts of the hotel could use some refurbishment.

Good hotel around Papakea, easily reachable by car. Very nice and kind staff, particularly the local Hawaian concierge who was incredibly helpful to help us find the best activities during our time on the island.

Wish they had AC in the bedrooms and not just the living room as they were hot (July) at night and the fans were not cooling enough.

Online pictures had a Beach out front and not the rocks. Booking any of the activities apparently have to be done before you check in; however none of those are mentioned before you get there. We would have liked the lei making, etc but too late. Some of the staff were a little snippy about checking out putters and balls. supposed to be quiet between 10pm and 7 am but not enforced. outside room noise loud even at midnight.

The bedroom was a little warm and the ceiling fan didn't work that well. Also, I paid a hefty cleaning fee but didn't make a big mess.

Our room was a nice size with all needed amenities. It was not dirty, but could have used a deep cleaning and some re-modeling. The mattress in the Murphy bed sagged in the middle and definitely needed replacement.

Although the place was generally tidy, the trash cans were not emptied before our arrival. Nor were they emptied anytime during the stay.

Great location, close to amazing beaches and snorkeling spots. The rooms are on the older side, could probably benefit from some refurbishments, but good for the price overall.

The owners at 405E need to get a sitter starting to replace furniture. For example the swivel chair was broken. The screen door keeps falling off the track. This may be minor but it still affects the condo.

Acres of lush grounds, Beautiful Koi pounds, Ocean front spectacular views. Fourth floor gives you an advantage plan to see and hear the ocean waves. Swimming pool was exceptionally clean
