Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsDoor could not be locked from outside, only closed (and opened with room key). Busy highway in front of the hotel, luckily we were in the building further away from the road (deluxe rooms). Needed earplugs for proper sleep because of the noise from the highway.
Clean and spacy room, large and comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Parking in front of the room. Strategic place to visit the Needles section of Canyonlands NP and Natural Bridges NM. Sufficient restaurants in the village.

SwitzerlandThe heating/AC unit was a bit noisy and kept going on and off (noisily blowing out air and then going silent again at intervals) all night; don't know if we could have changed the settings, but we got used to it and it wasn't a big issue.
Nice place with generous, clean rooms at a reasonable rate. Since Monticello is tiny, it doesn't really matter a great deal where exactly in town you are, but the Atomic Blue is in as good a location as any. It's also relatively close to Monument Valley.

United States of AmericaClean , bright and spacious room/sheets. The washroom was very clean as well. There were enough towels provided and they smelled fresh. The town of Monticello is small and this is the perfect place to stay for 1 night if you are transiting through the city.

United States of AmericaThe pillows were pretty firm. But I slept well, so apparently they weren't that much of a problem. Other than that, it was wonderful.
Clean room; not large but adequate and comfortable. Pleasant staff. I appreciated the extra space heater in the room on a cold morning. The room had some retro decor that was fun.

United States of AmericaSome cosmetic issues that reveal the age of the motel, e.g minor lines in porcelain sink and raised linoleum/tile in corner base of bath tub. TV could be larger for size of room, at least a 40 in. At 108 per night including tax a small continental breakfast would be nice. But would stay there again if passing thru. Was impressed with the cleanliness.
Don't expect the Ritz-Carlton, but this is a nice quaint little one story retro- style motel with drive up to room door. Our double queen bedroom was unusually spacious with excellent lighting and very clean. No breakfast though. But room had all expected amenities. Staff was quite pleasant. Liked the welcome text message ahead of time with a link to check-in in advance with our room number already assigned. Didn't use it though since I was driving.

AustraliaSomeone knocked so loudly on the door of our room (or super super loud on the neighbours' door) at like 7am in the morning, given we got in at 3am it was a wake-up we really didn't need.
They accommodated our super late check-in which was wonderful. It was absolutely fine to stay for a night. Comfy bed and everything we needed.

United States of AmericaThis was a very clean and comfortable room at a very good price relative to Moab, which is closer to the main National Park entrances. The “atomic” 60s theme was cute, but not overdone. The site is your basic parking lot and motel, no fancy landscaping. Montecello is almost an hour farther away, but is closer to the. Needles entrance to Canyonlands and it is a much quieter and more “real” Western town than Moab.
