Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe jacuzzi wasn't working and there was no shower curtain ... not a huge deal. The kitchen sink is very small and water jets out of the faucet. The futon couch isn't very comfortable.
Location was great, easy walking distance to town.

United KingdomNot really an issue for us but steep steps from the sidewalk could be a problem in wet weather.
Comfortable room with everything we needed, thoughtful touches with flowers and fruit. Friendly hosts, we enjoyed our chat sitting in the garden, the glass of wine went down very well.

United States of AmericaThere are steeps to climb from the street to the room. We weren't aware that we'd be climbing old stairways, likely not a problem for young legs, but something of a challenge for our 70+ year old legs. We will go back to Clementine's as long as we're still have sufficient carrying capacity.
No breakfast was provided. We really enjoyed the room and balcony. We were able to watch boat loading on the river. This location is within easy walking to shopping and great food! The room was well-appointed and well stocked with coffee, tea and fresh fruit.

United States of AmericaNo staff on site which would have been nice. There is no breakfast at this time. Presume that is due to covid.
Loved the charm and history of the area. House is conveniently located. THe Peony suite had a nice view of the river. Great for just drinking coffee and unwinding. Liked that no key was needed to get in room.

United States of AmericaThe futon couch in the Moose Lodge was a bit uncomfortable to relax and/or sit on, and there were a few things needing to be replaced or fixed (I.e., the fan in the Moose Lodge bathroom and the light switch in the bathroom). but honestly that’s drilling way down for this price and place because everything overall was wonderful.
Great location and wry clean. while this is an old house, everything was well-kept and up to date. liked all the books and the kitchen amenities and the amount of room we had.

BotswanaBreakfast too high carb; could have used a hard-boiled egg or full fat unsweetened yogurt (a checklist to request breakfast food would have been nice.) Didn't know how to find kitchen to access refrigerator. Next room neighbors slammed doors a few times and took late showers. Would have been nice to have host's recommendations for food - some B&Bs have binder with menus, etc. Some people like the contactless experience, but I feel I missed out meeting other people.
Location excellent.

United States of AmericaRoom was very, very small. Bathroom down the hall- this was noted on website though. Generally in need of an update- carpets especially. a bit on the grubby side. Unacceptable that there was no general "hospitality" area to use the microwave, wine glasses etc that was advertised on their website- this should be updated.
Excellent breakfast. Breakfast brought to the room and served elegantly Comfortable bed. Location in town. Willing to store bike safely in the garage. Little balcony was pleasant.

United States of AmericaThe room we were in, The Dahlia room, was very small. There was only room for one chair. one of us had to eat breakfast on the bed. It would be a good room for one person. The other rooms we were able to see were considerably larger. Lots of stairs to get from street to room. I emailed the manager with questions twice before our trip and didn't get any response.
The breakfast was yummy. The location was great. Close to downtown/shopping/restaurants. The view was great. We had a little balcony with a beautiful view of the Columbia River and town. Beautiful 1888 home.

United States of AmericaI think the only thing would be the limited kitchen. with no oven and very few dishes (and tiny sink) it would be difficult if you planned to cook. we had no intentions of cooking so it was fine. there was a nice dining area, but I feel it could have been replaced with some more comfortable seating and a smaller table for space. also the jetted tub sounded like it was going to explode so while I was excited about it, we chose not to use it.
location was perfect, everything we wanted to see was within 5 miles. property was so quaint and had amazing charm. loved all the little things placed in the room to give it character. didn’t use the robes, but I appreciated the thought.

United States of AmericaThey should let guests know about all of the steps getting into the house from the street and all the steps to the upstairs rooms. Thought we'd see more of the river but our room looked at a Public Works brick building. : ( And, the street next to the building was a super steep hill so cars very noisily "gunned" it to get up the hill.
Beds comfortable, spacious bathroom hot shower, gas stove kept room toasty warm. Breakfast brought to the room at 8:45am was very nice - baked frittata, yogurt/fresh berries, pastry, OJ - baked apples!
