Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The fridge in the room was EXTREMELY noisy, we unplugged it. Also, the bed base surrounding was made out of sheets of aluminium, and any time we knocked it it made a very loud echoing noise.
Free parking was great and room was large.

The parking space is too much open. There's no privacy. The sound isolation is not so good. I heard too much noise from other rooms.
The cleanliness and confort of the room. Checkin/checkout very simple.

Our room did not have a microwave we went to the store to get some things and noticed we had NOTHING to make food in, other then that It was perfect for us.
The room was big seemed clean had good cable channels so I was able to watch movies, it was perfect for our 2 day stay just wish it had a microwave to make us something to eat..

Very strong smell of cleaning supplies, very bright lights in room, lumpy pillows felt like they were stuffed with cotton balls

As people wrote, walls are very thin, you can hear the outside clearly. No curtain so light starts early in the morning.
Room is nice and clean. Good mattress.

Thin wall/poorly sound proofed. Could hear neighbors talking till late night. Metal bed frame was noisy when you accidentally banged into it. Couldn't get the faucet to run hot water so had to use bath taps for warm water .
Clean, comfortable and very good value. Decent food in nearby areas (crepe place across the street and Japanese grill in the strip mall next door)

The bed had this weird metal part underneath that could easily be hit with your foot and it made a loud noise. We could hear this happening in other rooms. The walls were extremely thin and could easily hear others talking. The windows had wood blinds that did do a great job of blocking out the light. The bedding was a bit thin, even with the provided extra bedding. No conditioner provided.
We stayed here to go to Pacific Grove and visit the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. Check-in was easy and quick. The room was very clean. It was nice that it had a mini fridge. The room had both heating and AC options. There were plenty of plugs places to charge devices. I like the shower and bathroom had soap and shampoo dispensers instead of the wasteful tiny shampoos. There were several food and coffee shops that were walking distance.

The 2 things I didn't like was that there was no microwave in the room and HBO, etc, on the TV.
Didn't have to go far for gas or food. Inn is 5 minutes away from the beach ⛱️

The airconditioner was not working correctly and the owner replaced it with a portable fan which was fine as the weather wasn't super hot.
The room was very clean and large. The bathroom was dated, however, the bedroom looked like it had been updated. The bed was very comfy. The room was quiet and had a fridge, and a coffee maker. A microwave was available for use in reception. Great spot and good value for the amount paid. Would stay again.

Walls are thin, but it wasn't too bad. It was quiet around 11pm when i stayed. Also, there are no smoking areas at all, and it's understandable not to smoke inside the rooms, but you can't even smoke out in the parking lot but overall it's a good hotel to stay in.
It was comfortable and very clean. The room was exactly like the pictures so there's no surprises and the hotel was around a lot of restaurants. It was pretty good for a simple, affordable hotel.
