Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I didn't like that I would've had to pay $15 for a microwave just to warm food up. What's the point of a refrigerator then if I can't warm the food up without paying extra to do so?
I liked how close the location was the NY and The American Dream mall.

It’s along side a highway and walking score is probably 0. The rooms are in need of updating/ maintenance but I knew that and booked anyway.
It’s a hotel with free parking very close to the Armory Track. The staff is awesome. The breakfast was okay but the attendant made up for it with tasty cappuccinos.

The weight room was too small and had minimal equipment. It was also very cold in there. The pool was out of order. It would have been nice to enjoy the pool and weight room. The outside area near the pool area was full of trash! Someone needs to do a better job keeping it tidy.
The hotel staff was great; the layout of the hotel is nice, the hotel store was so convenient and had great items. The full bar tv and breakfast buffets was amazing.

the hair dryer was broken and does not operate. The refrigerator is not cold enough. there was no hot water for 1 day. there should be a washing machine in the property. there should be a shuttle bus to Newark Airport. The pool should be heated the whole day.
we loved our room. it has a beautiful view of the highway. the beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. the breakfast was great. bathroom was good, The room rate was great!

room a bit dated and dark. location tricky to get in out, path into parking from highway is very tight. to get from fort lee to the hotel is very tricky and took us lost. view of room not great.

The lotion bottle remained empty. I informed room service and the bottle never got refilled. Also a man at the front desk didn't want to give us any cookies. We asked and he said they can't give us any because they have to have fresh ones for people's check in. SMH. Are they prepared on premise? When you see the cookies getting low prepare some more. We Stay at the DoubleTree because my granddaughter loves the cookies. So we stay there for the cookies.
There was a waiter in the restaurant that was exceptional. He was friendly and accommodating. He was the best staff member the entire weekend.

Finding an unsightly stain on my bedding. Asked for 2 additional towels and wash cloths and was told there wasn't any to spare.
Housekeeping responded to my concern extremely quickly.

Location difficult to access from main highway. No outside food options near hotel. Hotel was very dated and not renovated. Hotel wanted to charge $60 USD for early check in.

Jordan was a very book waitress, talk nicely to customers. Very polite. Stepheno was good too.
I am disappointed about booking.com. When I book my reservation, I booked it with breakfast and on arrival, I was told my booking was not with breakfast and I should it up with booking.com

Toilet - not renovated in recent times - looks very old. flush very slow and need to come second time to flush again to have it properly done locker not able to open - called maintenance and they were not able to fix or replace. asked to call next day again to fix it. no follow ups and it didn't get fixed

Location - no access on foot, have to get an Uber to get in/out. If you need to travel to Manhattan Uber will cost $30-40 just to cross the bridge and half of the drivers will cancel
