The bathroom was terrible especially the water pressure and hot water supplies were not always available. Given the cold weather, not having hot water during shower was a nightmare and heater in room not really strong.

Very limited dining at hotel and prices very high. Rooms are sparse. Didn’t fit price paid.

Bed was a little uncomfortable. Room amenities are outdated. Generator running 24/7; no real silence to enjoy.

The professionalism of some of the staff in the restaurant and at the bar. We felt they were not pleasant and unresponsive to our concerns and needs in relation to food and seating.

Views were spectacular. However it is necessary to get a shuttle every time you wish to leave the property and it runs on the hour.

The cleanliness of the rooms were poor. Our room had a dirty footprint on the wall and the bathrooms smelled of urine and were extremely sour smelling.

Denied early check in at 2 pm due to room cleaning still happening and yet our room still had dirty linens. Denied an extra hour to check out for an elderly handicapped man, we were told that was because they had to clean our room at 10 am, but seems off since our room wasn’t clean at 2 pm. Just a little service can go a long way. Front desk people were quite short and kind of rude.

I feel the AlpenGlow menu is a little fancy for the location. The restaurant is big but no one was eating in there. Being isolated at top of mountain, our family would have liked a more casual menu-we ate dinner one night at 10pm there after a long day of adventure and the menu wasn’t very kid friendly and very expensive. I don’t feel the ambiance and quality of the menu lives up to the high cost. Burgers, salads, kid friendly fare seems more fun and appropriate for the vibes of the lodge. The breakfast/drink station is awkward and shoved into a corner with bad people flow-just open up the restaurant and serve everything there.

Beautiful grounds and location. We didn’t have a car so relied on hotel shuttle and we’re appreciative of it running on time and to the main places we needed. Staff very eager to help make stay pleasant-checked in via text. Room view was incredible.

Meals were over priced and the selection was ALA Carte. The internet was very spotty and kept dropping. The Lodge ran out of water around midnight. No water for showers, sink or toilet until morning.

Location was spectacular! The train ride from Wasilla to Grand Denali Park on the Alaska railroad was beautiful. Make sure you upgrade to the dome car which includes meals.

We expected the rooms to be nicer for the price. If you're very minimal in expectations you'll love it. The reception desk area and restaurant were very nice, but the only choice for breakfast on site was a buffet for $30 a person.

Absolutely amazing views from the hotel location. Shuttle service to the park and the town area was very timely and convenient. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Alaskan accommodation during the summer months is very expensive - Grande Denali Lodge is no exception!

Friendly. helpful staff; comfortable room; good breakfast at a reasonable price. The views are exceptional!
