Beautiful old mansion right on the water. There were seals and their pups frolicking in the surf right across the street. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast and snacks were delicious.

The price points felt very high for the value. While the accommodation was very nice, that same price point at a different hotel would have been more luxury.

The breakfasts provided were very tasty and the variety very nice.

Right across the street from the ocean. Beautiful neighborhood. The main house took my breath away when I walked in the door. Cheese and wine from 4 pm to 6 pm. Jetted tub in the room.

More investment in bathroom faucets, greater water pressure, real rather than fake flowers/succulents in lobby, and central air would have made the stay much better.

The only downside was the water smelt and tasted salty plus you have to be careful of the shower door as it backs straight onto the bathroom door.

We were in The Carriage House (separate to the main house), on the top floor and the room was very big. There was a sofa area, two armchairs, fireplace and a very comfortable bed. There was a pod based coffee machine and a small fridge that had chilled water in it. The bathroom was big with a bath that had a whirlpool (didn’t have time to use), two sinks and had some lovely toiletries. There was a walk-in shower which had plenty of room. Although no air con, it did have a good fan to help following a very hot day in October. Breakfast the next morning was superb! Lots of choice and the sour cream coffee cake was amazing! Amazing stay, with very friendly staff, great food and we would like to revisit for a longer stay.

Beautiful old building that has been tastefully decorated. The breakfast was delicious and the afternoon wine and cheese with home made cookies was a lovely touch. Very comfortable rooms and beds with a great coffee machine in the room.

The location is fabulous, right by the beach, and the property is just stunning. Upon arrival we were greeted with a cheese and wine hour as well as three kinds of cookies in the dining area. The room itself was HUGE and really beautiful, with a comfortable bed, two sitting areas, a fireplace, a spa bath and a shower. I was honestly floored. Also, breakfast was absolutely DELICIOUS. Those blueberry pancakes are amazing.

Beautiful and charming. Loved the Victorian charm with the updated touches. The breakfast and the wine and cheese happy hour were nice touches. The location is great and the staff were so accommodating. I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed in the Jennifer room. Nicely decorated. A little noisy at night given the other rooms on floor have to use bathrooms across the hall. I heard doors opening and closing at night.

Perfect romantic getaway. Comfortable, cozy and private. Lots of character in this beautifully update Victorian on Monterey bay. Wonderful happy hour snacks and wine. Delicious and generous breakfast.

Whilst this is a victorian house the decoration of the hotel and the room is very nicely contemporaneous. The views from the breakfast area are absolutely amazing and are also to be enjoyed during the complimentary wine and cheese. The breakfast is very good with different options. Staff couldn't;t be more friendly and helpful. Our room, in the adjacent building with fireplace, additional living space was ideal as we met family during our stay. The hotel is very well located with the track along the coast just across the street and whilst at walking station from the aquarium it is in an area where parking on the street is still free and easy. I couldn't;t recommend more this hotel when in the area.

It’s a great hotel with amazing view from breakfast room. The staff was super nice. The room looked even better than on the picture. Fall in love with it’s unique interior. So, charming! There is a beautiful trail just across the street. Definitely we will come back some day.
