Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Staff is the best, breakfast is a big plus, ease of location, close to attractions and subways, great block with shops and restaurants.

Rooms are small, but this is the rule in NY
Breakfast was great and with many options, the location was great with easy access to subway, many restaurants around the property. Rooms were clean and comfortable, checking process was easy

The breakfast area can be a bit of a zoo. Not really enough room if it's a full house. Not the end of the world, but just a heads up, if you want to get in and have a seat, be prepared to wait a bit or to be in a crowd.
Top notch value for the location. It's got all the stock standard things you need, this place is perfect if you just need a base to explore the city from. Comes with a fine breakfast for those looking to save some money.

The lift. I got stuck in it for a few minutes. It wouldn't go from 10 down to 1. The 1 button wouldn't work. So I pressed 2 which got the lift moving and then the 1 button worked again. The lift sometimes took a while to come up to 10.
I enjoyed the breakfast every morning and the location was brilliant. Plenty of bars, restaurants, take out places around that area. The subway was just a few minutes walk from the hotel.

Nothing sticks out... Overall a positive experience.
The room was clean and comfortable and quite spacious. The temperature control worked well. Best of all it was really quiet. There were plenty of options for breakfast, hot and cold.

A bit dated
A short walk from Times Square, metro station, Port authority terminal and main Manhattan attractions. Friendly personal, nice facilities including 24h open fitness center with a bunch, and treadmills. Simple breakfast.

As it is in Midtown it is quite noisy. Breakfast is only served on paper plates and plastic cutlery.
The location of the hotel is perfect for reaching all sightseeing points in Midtown of NYC, even within walking distance. For further destinations there are several subway stations nearby. The staff was very friendly and there is coffee in the brekfast area for free during the whole day. The rooms are a little small but still comfortable.

The glass shower door was hard to open (it gets stuck). Pricey for the room we got. Breakfast is from 6:30am to 9:30am so you have to get up super early if you want breakfast.
Variety of breakfast which changed each day. The staff was nice.

The breakfast can be improved. Breakfast room is too small to host guests of the hotel and the food choices were limited and mostly unhealthy

In a great location and close to all the big things. Times Square is less than 10 mins walk. Breakfast is good but extremely busy, although you can take away if needed. Rooms are slightly dated but for the price (all other hotels were around double the price without breakfast) it was 100% value for money. Staff are also really helpful and check in process was super easy.

Breakfast got really crowded making it harder to get a seat and navigate the small space to get the food. Check in time is a little late, especially with earlier 11am check out time.
