Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaWe asked for two extra blankets and got them quite quickly. However, one smelled like a very dirty wet dog! It was quite obvious that those blankets don't get washed and looked over very often.
Staff was very nice and helpful. The property was nice and clean.

United KingdomBreakfast is poor. Coming from the Uk when informed you get cooked breakfast you think it will be that - but actually it is literally just some flavourless rubbery watered down scrambled egg, and really leathery bacon and then small rubbery pancakes from a pancake machine. The cinnamon rolls are okay but are shop bought and then left under the heater so can be there for a long time and get quite chewy under the lamp. Staff are probably best described as nonchalant. Having arrived directly from the UK we wrongly expected a warm welcome at the front desk (like when you usually check in to hotels around the world). Desk clerk barely looked up and just handed keys and returned to what they were doing. Same throughout our stay - not exactly rude but nonplussed that you were there.
Easy access to all the main transport links and sight seeing. Rooms are spacious, beds comfortable, decorations are basic but nice - not too outdated. Shower pressure and warmth is good.

United States of AmericaNothing. Although it was a bit expensive, I think most hotels near the Fisherman's Wharf are relatively expensive compared to those in downtown San Francisco.
the location was perfect, near the Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. You can easily visit main tourist' places with buses and trams. The room was tidy and clean. Breakfast was fine as it is served with typical continental breakfast menus.

United States of AmericaTo have a little store inside the hotel would be nice. Also a bar would be nice for a little night life for travelers coming in from out of town. Over all there wasn't much to dislike because the hotel overall is in a great location.
Great location, good breakfasts. The location was perfect as we came to San Francisco to enjoy good food down at Fisherman's Wharf. It was fun taking the cable car into down town. The breakfasts are always a reason we like to stay at the Holiday Inn.

United States of AmericaThe room was stuffy and the windows did not open so we had to run air conditioning, which only helped a bit. We like fresh air! The bathroom had one of those awful automatic lights that blind you in the middle of the night. These are unsafe and annoying. They take your night vision and it’s hard to get back to bed. Please disable these unwanted features. If we want light we can turn it on.
This is a good family hotel in a fun tourist area of San Francisco. There’s good public transportation nearby so we didn’t have to use the car. The required valet parking was expensive, but that’s to be expected in the City. The breakfast was decent and typical.
