Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandThere is really odd smell around in the entire building, I would rather categorise it as unpleasant. Staff said it is their air fresheners. It was really difficult to get used to it. It is quite loud as hotel located next to a busy street, walls are quite thin, you can hear your neighbours talking.
Great location, bottles of water delivered daily. Nice looking old building with parking on site (paid extra)

BrazilThe location is good and having the parking spots available at the hotel is perfect if you rent a car. The value charged to park is a good value for money.

GermanyThe bed light was separated from the bed by the bathroom and changing room entrance, so that when I woke up in the middle of the night I had to walk blindly to find it. It's a small detail but personally I found pretty uncomfortable.
Perfectly tidy hotel located in the heart of Melrose, the staff is always professional. The room was spacious with plenty of natural light from two sides.

United KingdomWe left our luggage on the last day of the trip and the lady who served us was not particularly kind in the way she spoke to us.
We were greeted warmly on arrival by Mike, who gave us some great tips for what to visit in the area and made sure we were comfortable. The room was clean and what we had expected. There was also another nice guy on reception who helped us fix the TV. There is a great Filipino restaurant called Kuya Lord further up the road that we would HIGHLY recommend - super tasty dishes!

United States of AmericaIt doesn't have modern facility and rooms are bit old style but very clean and tidy. It justifies its name. Expect to have a rustic experience.
The aesthetic is rustic and beautiful. Great to see the maintenance of an old hotel. The staff is great and very helpful, The location is awesome. Just 10 mins from Hollywood. Great deal at this price. It has minimal parking charge and good restaurant and coffee place in 2 min walking distance.

IsraelThe staff simply indeferent. When we did check in, not even a smile , plain questions and it looked like we disturbed him. Location is horrible, although people wrote that it is minutes away from every , it is not true. At least 45 min to hollywood and on the way you are traveling through lots of drunks and homeless people. The price is good, but next time I will prefer to pay more in order to have beter location and safer place with normal transportation. The room was with windows towards the loud street.
The room was big enough and we had a room on the third floor with Hollywood sign view. Otherwise, the view is to the parking. Parking 18$ per day.

The big Boss Michael. Second time at the hotel after 6 years. Still the same guy at the counter to check in. The most funny and friendly welcome ever. Hé remembers all the guests namens and loves to Chat with them. he gives advice on where to go in los angeles. After a welcome like this, your visit cannot be disappointing anymore. the hotel is centrally located with shops nearby.

United States of AmericaThe only thing I didnt like was that our shower head broke off when adjusting the direction of water and the drain was clogged.
Great location. Michael at the front desk arranged a king room for both nights of our stay, and he gave us a room with a great view of Hollywood. He was super nice, professional, and helpful with recommendations. The bar and restaurant was so beautiful and priced fair. It had some of the best cocktails in LA. The bed was very comfortable and the large closet was nice.

United States of AmericaCarpet and furniture a bit worn in spots. Heard neighbor through walls briefly.
A charming, restored hotel in a beautiful old, central, leafy LA neighborhood, safe and convenient to downtown and Hollywood (within minutes’ drive of attractions, but not walking distance). Bedroom and bathroom were clean, compact, and adequate. Room had water bottles, fridge, closet, iron, toiletries, comfortable mattress and pillows. We stayed on rear side, which was quiet; our friends had a larger, corner room on front side (street/cars) with more windows and view of Hollywood sign. Parking was a reasonable price. Staff was courteous and efficient. On first floor, there’s a cute bakery/cafe and an upscale restaurant. Overall, it’s a great deal! We’re so glad we found this place and will stay here again; our friends (LA native) were equally pleased.

FinlandThe shower was not that greatly functioning and I don't know about "the amazing view": well sure we saw part of the Hollywood sign behind the buildings across the street. Also the room was a bit cold and some noise came through the walls from the street outside.
Everything worked ok. Not much to complain but nothing to praise for either. New bottles of water every day were nice.

United States of AmericaI feel the parking fee was shady and was not mentioned in the original advertisement. Its only until after you book the non-refundable reservation that you are told you will need to fork up nearly $20 for 1 day parking. The advertisement needs to be updated. Also, there was water leaking from somewhere in the restroom. Under the bathtub maybe, not sure. We didn't even use it, but there was a significant puddle.
Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Our room felt very clean, and the walls felt thick. We could only hear upstairs squeaking, but felt we had good privacy. The A/C kept us cool throughout the night, and it wasn't too noisy because we only used the fan option. All around, it was a pleasant stay.
