I was disappointed that the hotel doesn’t have parking, it didn’t say anything about not having parking on the website. For this reason my hotel budget went up 25% in order to get valet parking.

The location, pool and access to the Riverwalk

The room was spacious and clean but we thought there should have been more chairs in the room for eating meals in the room.

We thought the staff, overall, were friendly and efficient. We felt very welcomed and the location was great.

Lack of USB charging points. The view was not a River view as requested and the pull out Bed for my teenage son wasn't made up- I was directed to make it up my self with linen from the wardrobe despite requesting it in advance. Breakfast was poor with little hot food on offer.

Location, clean fresh bathroom and towels. N Bed was comfortable.

The toilet clogged twice. The cleaning lady emptied the trash in the toilet and expected it to go down!

A bit more variety for bre@kfast would have been nice. The oatmeal was watery enough to drink with a straw.

(1) The dishwasher leaked and we reported it to the front desk. We were offered another room but it was already late at night and we were tired so we refused offer. (2) We asked cleaning lady to clean room on our 3rd day as the room was not very clean at the onset and since the dishwasher had leaked. We only got fresh towels. (3) Re valet service - expensive!!! Moreso because it took over an hour to get our car even after following instructions to text early. Best to give an appointed time to bring up car the day before especially during the weekend when hotel is fully booked.

Breakfast was good. Location was good. Love that hotel was a street away from San Fernando Church and walkable to everything. Availed of valet service. Valet and front desk were pleasant and polite. The man at the breakfast who was responsible for cleaning was excellent and had a nice & kind personality.

The valet system went down when leaving. We waited an hour for our car. The guys were working as fast as they could. Technology is great until it doesn’t work. I do understand it was out of their control. The check in people could have been a tad more friendly. I am a very friendly person. The check out guy was great. Very different than check in.

If you have a car, you'll need to use the valet or find alternative parking options in the area. The hotel is combined with Hampton Inn & Suites so that was a little confusing at first arrival. The breakfast layout it a little odd because half of the dining area is for Hampton and other for Home2 Suites but most people I think ended up on the Hampton side because that's where the coffee bar was located.

Home2 Suites has not disappointed us yet. We really enjoyed our stay. The property is located right on the Riverwalk in San Antonio and you can walk down to the Riverwalk from the hotel lobby. The rooms are always well-lit and spacious. The beds are comfortable and there is so much storage.

That there's no private parking lot. We need to pay to get our cars parked. If we don't get the valet parking services, the staff is kinda rude.

We enjoyed the cold refreshments in the lobby, but only once were there any available. All the other times it was empty or wasn’t there. There were hot refreshments available all the time, but it was 95 degrees outside.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and coffee was good. Location was very good.
