Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MexicoA little run down, bathroom towels were worn down and not the quality you'd expect from a Marriott hotel. The image on the TV wasn't good and couldn't find the adjustments settings. No HBO, really?
Great location, close to metro station, riverwalk. Very comfortable bed, good room and bathroom measurements.

United States of AmericaThey charge you that ridiculous destination fee as if I give a f**k about complimentary yoga class? The fancy hotel bar has the all the soul of a forced social after the business convention. But I mean, you don't have to hang out in it. I didn't. There's plenty else to see and do. Amusingly, the rotating door broke down like 10 times a day, every day, what's up with that? Yall ought to sort that out, not a good look LOL
Clean, comfortable, great location. I mean that's why I'm there yeah? As far as Riverwalk area goes it was the cheapest in its class, so that's cool.

CanadaHaving specified "2 beds" when booking with Booking.com, your establishment apparently received our reservation from them for a room with only 1 bed...(?) Perhaps realigning communication with them would help avoid future misunderstandings. Besides that, there's nothing we didn't like. Given the time, we would've gladly stayed longer :)
We had booked with Booking, com for 2 double beds, but got one king size bed instead. Our charming host (who's name escapes me) was very apologetic and dead set on making things right. He called us the very next day to arrange a transfer to a newly available room with 2 beds, and offered us complimentary drinks at your bar. We were settled and quite comfortable on the one big bed (I was travelling with my 21 yr. old son) so we actually chose to stay put. Your staff aims to please, and they do it well. They can take pride in their work...

United States of AmericaThe hotel is right behind some very dystopian looking high rise apartments and parking garages. Depending on the side of the hotel you're on, you will wake up feeling like you're in the capital and about to enter the Hunger Games. The rooms (while mostly clean) could use some updates. My toilet seat looked like it had been through war, and was all chipped out which means it's likely impossible to truly clean those things. I don't want to think about what was left behind in all of that paint. They try with the rooms, but small things make them look and feel a bit dated. My bed was also completely off balance, due to a broken frame. My friends and I almost fell a couple of time when we were getting on and off the bed. Finally, I really wish the room had a microwave. I didn't voice any of this until check-out since I was only there for the weekend, but they did say they would have someone take a look.
The location of the hotel is the true star here. It is connected to several restaurant's such as Yolk, and sit right next to the house of Blues. It's a super short walk to Michigan Avenue and the Magnificent Mile. Very much in the heart of Downtown. I know its kitschy, but I could also see that iconic Chicago sign from my hotel window which was cute. I didn't interact with staff much beyond checking in and out, but each time they were super nice and receptive to feedback. They provide water in the rooms which I thought was a nice touch for a US hotel.
