I wish the room could be cleaned a little bit better. I saw hair here and there in the bathroom. A water mark behind the faucet of the bathroom sink. My eyes tended to focus on that while I was brushing my teeth. Also, the seat cover of the room chair got stains: made me a little hesitant to sit on there.

Beach was right there and very beautiful sandy beach. These factors make you swim in the AM and PM. Also they give you a towel for the beach.

The hotel itself is kind of on par with a Motel 6. You're paying for the location and the vibe of the surroundings, but it would be nice if the facilities were updated a little bit. The beds and pillows weren't comfortable. The carpet, walls, fixtures, etc. all feel old and kind of dingy. One really bizarre thing - there isn't a side table anywhere in the room or on the balcony in case you want to eat a meal, etc. I wanted to have a drink on the balcony, so I brought the ironing board out to set it on.

You can't beat the location. I'd considered staying someplace a little more active like Lahaina, but I'm sure glad I didn't. Ka'anapali is convenient enough to the city and other activities while maintaining a little more relaxed vibe. This property allows you to take advantage of the amenities of the larger (and more expensive) Royal Lahaina without paying the same rate. It was a quiet property and my room had beautiful view of the foliage and partial view of the beach.

It was stuffy, no AC and black mold in the shower.

The view of the luau show every night was the only good thing about this place. There was mold in the bathroom ceiling, it was old and crummy. It looked like the facilities were workers once stayed. Peeling paint t and damaged wood doors in the hallways. It’s really ran down.

The Staff at check in was very rude. The room was dark and infested with bugs. Shower area was moldy. The restaurant was understaffed so even tho there were empty tables we could not get seated. Ended up eating at bar or off property. The Ocean Inn property is very rundown.

We had an ocean view room and I suffered from eye strain. From the reviews we had seen, we knew what to expect. The room was a little musty and worn. The screen on the slider was torn. The poor place could do with an update.

The ocean trail went right thru the property. Great trail for morning walks. This property is part of the Royal Lahaina Resort. The resort's bar and restaurant were excellent. Good place to get dinner and enjoy the sunset!!

The property at Kaanapali ocean in was very dated. It was clean the carpets were extremely worn. The bathroom could use an update or more deep cleaning. We still felt like our stay was good however a few changes could Make it even better.

Overpriced, old/ not so clean rooms. Bathroom tiles looked dirty, grout black with age/ dirt. Loud Luau music every night. Cleaning crew probably understaffed. Had to ask for hand soap etc.

it is right on the beach and there is friendly staff. the hours of the cabana were not very convenient for a family that was traveling around the island, but I can understand if the majority of your tenants just stay on property. We did not go to the luau, but we enjoyed the beautiful music from our room. Everyone we encountered was a complete joy, and the food was good at the main restraint. As well, the ice cream and coffee on site was great. My only real complaint was about the toiletries. The Toiletries were so watered down, they were worthless. All in all, a good place to stay, and compared to prices everywhere else, it was a decent deal.
