Strange comment I’m sure, but I don’t enjoy hearing the complaints of the Time Share owners when we are socializing by the pool. This was my second year visiting Kauai and stayed at the resort both times. I truly enjoy it but both years have experienced this. The only other criticisms would be the jacuzzi needs to be serviced, not all of the jets were working. Pillows could be a bit better….firmer.

The price is too high. We’ve stayed there 4 or 5 times and we love it, but because of the very high price, we will most likely look for another place to stay. We go to Kauai about 3 times a year.

The Roosters in the morning. On VT and wanted to sleep in. The roosters in morning making noise didn't like. Maybe someone should be around with broom to push them away if possible, but this is nature so what can you do.

We had an ant incident in our bedroom. My computer and phone were on the floor charging, and I returned to find both covered with tiny black ants. Maintenance came, but whatever they did didn't help at all. We had ants in that room the remainder of our stay, though we had not had any food in there. Some insects, geckos etc. are to be expected, as this is Hawaii, but it was a bummer to have ants in our things in a bedroom on the third floor. That was the only place we had a problem. The kitchen and living room, bathrooms and other bedroom were all fine. Our only other complaint was that the shower never got very hot. It was lukewarm at best.

The Kauai Coast Resort is in a perfect location. From our room #3309 we were able to see the ocean and hear the crashing waves all night--which we loved! While the beach there isn't amazing or really a swimming beach, it is great to see the sunrise and to walk along. While we were there a seal was even camped out on the beach. The Coconut Marketplace just next door was super convenient too. We caught a free hula show and enjoyed multiple shave ice trips and the store for items we needed. The resort is central and making day trips to both north and south was easy from this location. We loved the grounds of this resort with the hammocks, tiki torches, and numerous palm trees. The pool and hot tub were great and we used them every day. We loved having two bedrooms and two bathrooms and a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and balconies. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and we slept great--until the rooster crowed :)

My only complaint would be the coffee in the room. Was old. But that might not be the staffs fault.

Location! The beach wasn’t swimmable but still amazing to stay. Had all the much needed things close by, market / food within walking distance. Washer and dryer for us was Huge!! Beds were so comfortable and clean.

The location was great. It is great since it is not in the middle of a town and the beach access is good as well. The shops in the adjacent area are nice and the food options are good as well. The staff were very nice and helpful.

No beach access from the property, and the pool and hot tub were so over-chlorinated that they completely bleached our suits and T-shirts!

The two bedroom condo was spacious. It would be very comfortable for a family or for two couples. There is enough privacy in the layout for two couples to really enjoy the space. I would describe the facilities as very nice, but not in the luxury category. I rate the value as extremely high due to the size and well thought out layout of the unit and the quality of the space and the furnishing. Of the complaints I read about in the reviews: yup, the ac unit in the kitchen/dining area leaked, but only a couple table spoons a day. I probably dribbled more water on the floor. And yup, there is no elevator, but the stair steps are about 3” high, and I was able to pull my large roll-aboard up to the third floor with relative ease. Loved the hot tub in the evening and the fact that it’s open after dark.

I wish the staff would pick up the trash in my room more often, like every other day or so.

I really like the location of the resort. It was convenient for me to travel to the other parts of the island. The ABC store located across from the resort was a wonderful surprise.

That we could not stay longer.

Check-in and parking was easy. The hotel is right at the beach and our 2nd floor apartment was the third away from the ocean but had a good sea view and one could hear the waves (as well as chicken, as Kauai is the Garden and Chicken Island of Hawaii - they are simply everywhere). The big pool area was very nice and well-maintained. The appartment was sufficiently equipped for preparing and eating food in the apartment. The airport is not far but beware of the rush hour on workdays - in the morning to Lihue and in the afternoon from Lihue. All attractions are easy to reach by car and/or a bit of hiking but depening on traffic, you better plan a day trip if you are going all north (Tunnels Beach, etc.) or south (especially Waimea Canyon). The shopping center next door is convenient and supermarkets are not far away.

I would have loved free breakfast! The coffee was fine but Hawaiin coffee would have been better.

I loved the comfortable clean room with a great view and 2 separate bedrooms. The full kitchen was well equipped to eat in. Close to a little marketplace for take-out meals and all kinds of shopping. Provided deck chairs ocean side were wonderful. I loved the landscaping and pool area. The torches at night were lovely. Staff were helpful.
