The living room wasn’t set up right where you can actually watch tv. There was other people’s belongings in the drawers and the patio still had beers and spider webs everywhere. Didn’t seem to be cleaned up before we arrived.

The room was beautiful with the private balcony on the second floor.

Location was central to Monterey and the Wharf area easily walkable. Room was spacious. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Street parking was not a problem

Although there are quite a good amount of parking spaces you need to pay $40 per night - should probably be included for the price of the room

We loved our stay here. The room was so cosy, big beds and comfortable but the top was the fireplace! They give you logs so you can light the fire. The room was very clean, and we had housekeeping service It’s set in a quiet, yet central neighbourhood and very safe. The breakfast is nice and simple You can park the car inside

Nice location, close to the sea and museum. Sufficient breakfast. Very big room with chimney.

The bed mattress could use an update, except if you like getting bounced around if your partner moves. And the decorations in the room were borderline tacky but that was amusing rather than an actual problem :D.

Perfect location, nice breakfast. At check in we even got a log from the front desk to burn in the fireplace! All in all we had a great stay!

Water pressure in the shower could be greatly improved.

Good location, very clean, very comfortable bed and the room was cozy to come back to on a cold night.

The fireplace did give off a little more smoke then I would have liked but it was nice to have the fire going on a cool and dam evening. This is our second time here and will definitely return.

Great location - right in the heart of downtown. We used to live in the area so it was great to go back and being within walking distance of the aquarium, the wharf and downtown was perfect.

The ad was a little misleading. I was expecting to stay in a quaint historic bed and breakfast style place but the hotel is actually next door and pretty generic . Bad pillows . We were glad to have a room at the back as it can be noisy if closer to the Main Street the breakfast is very basic . We skipped it the second morning and walked to a lovely coffee shop/ bakery called Alta bakery just a few blocks away.

The room was very spacious, the location was good. The girl at the front desk was lovely and very welcoming and helpful.

Hard to come up with a dislike. Continental breakfast was served 8-10am, later than I could partake of it.

A little road noise but not excessive due to thicker than average walls.

Well thought out and spacious room, very clean with multiple power points close to the bed and great WiFi connection, continental breakfast had lots of choice. Staff were friendly and professional. Really enjoyed my stay here.

i think there was only one thing that i disliked about the room. it wasn't even anything that bad. The cushions on one of the chairs needed to be cleaned a bit. Otherwise, the room was terrific!

The room was very cozy. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. The whole aesthetic of the room was pleasing. I enjoy the fact that all the rooms had sort of a theme to them.

The room was dark in the day and the curtains were thin meaning excess light in the morning. We noticed that some rooms had thicker curtains but were told we could not move as we had already entered gone into the room.

Reception was friendly. The hotel has easy parking and breakfast is included. The room is spacious and there is a fireplace which even in August was a nice touch.

The misleading cover photo of a Victorian House, since you won‘t be staying there most likely. The room was dark, hardly any daylight came in. The road is a bit noisy.

The picture of the hotel is misleading. We stayed in a normal house, but still the room was nice and spacious and clean. The balcony was nice. The breakfast was very nice! The staff also was very nice. Parking was available for a fee.
