Innkeepers were great - helpful, pleasant, both excellent chefs. The breakfasts were amazing! Loved finding the homemade cookies when we returned in the evening. Our hosts had done amazing research and loved learning about the history of the home and some of Asheville.

There were lots of stairs. It was a little hard going up and down, but manageable.

The hosts are warm and inviting. The breakfasts were fresh out of the oven and very delicious. Every room was comfortable. You felt like you were home.

Parking was an issue at times and the property was not full when we were there

It is not readily apparent, but the property is very centrally located. If you continue down the street you are in the art district in a matter of 2 blocks or so

Jim and Erica are excellent host! My husband and I choose this bed and breakfast place because of the great reviews about the comfort and the food. The reviews were 100% accurate.

    Nothing

This was an amazing little B&B on our 25th Anniversary trip. We did a B&B hop and this one definitely did not disappoint. The house had an incredible mix of historical charm with modern thrown in. Jim greeted us at the door, showed us around and gave us some of the very interesting history of the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would most definitely recommend others to visit.

Maybe offering an earlier 8a breakfast time option, but not much else... Expect to leave 45 minutes prior to your timed Biltmore House Tour reservation in order to have sufficient time to park and walk or take a tram to the front of the Biltmore Estate. We had reservations for a 10a tour and this worked out well for us.

Located in a peaceful and quiet woodsy area of Asheville, dotted with nice Arts and Crafts style homes, my wife and I found Oakland Cottage Bed & Breakfast to be very conveniently and centrally located to the River Arts District, Biltmore Estate and downtown. The daily breakfasts were wonderfully balanced and well-prepared. Jim, Erica and Brett were great hosts and we could tell that they all shared a common love and passion for both preserving historic homes and gourmet cooking.

Booked through booking.com and there was contradiction of booking payment from the top of page to the bottom of page. We didn't have issue with BandB, but with outside booking site. Will not use again!

The owners were there upon check-in and very friendly. Even with specific dietary needs, they went out of their way to accommodate. Thank you!! Would stay there again.

This is a personal preference and does not impact the quality of our stay because we are already talking about returning! The coffee wasn’t our favorite- both in the room and at breakfast, I am a bit of a coffee snob so I don’t believe others would even notice! A local option for different taste preferences in the room would be great.

Amazing breakfast, excellent innkeepers, friendly other guests, plenty of parking, dog friendly, comfy large room (we stayed in Magnolia Sweet). Chickens on site for fresh eggs, close to everything, very comfortable! Will be back!
