Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Comfortable, quiet, well-appointed room. No noise from traffic, even though located in the heart of downtown S/F, just a couple of minutes' walk from Union Square. Plethora of places to eat and drink in the vicinity. About ten minutes from Powell Street BART station and streetcar. I stayed here six years ago and knew that it was a nice place to stay.

Indialocation staff was friendly (rodoba-- she was excellent) The hotel's decor was absolutely stunning! It's clear that a lot of thought and care went into creating an inviting and elegant atmosphere for guests. Furthermore, its location is incredibly convenient, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area.

United KingdomWifi had a habit of dropping or being logged out of at no notice. I realised eventually that it would knock you out every day at 11am but still a nuisance when travelling. It was great having a coffee bar in the lounge/reception but food choices were minimal; I just felt they could do so much more with this.
Overall a very good hotel to stay in. I was upgraded on arrival to a queen room which was quiet and comfortable. The hotel is furnished in a rock-chic style and I particularly liked the front lounge and cafe bar area with its cool seating and fireplace. The staff were friendly and most of the time very helpful. Location is good if you want to stay downtown, it's very close to Union Square and Muni at Powell Street. Compared to other 3 or 4* hotels in SF the Zeppelin proved to be pretty good value for money. I would score the hotel at 8 1/2 if there was an option.

United States of AmericaWe didn’t realize you had to go to the lobby to get ice, not the best smelling in the hallways, would have been nice to have some info about the hotel in the hotel room. Or let guests know when they check in where fitness room, ice and are, etc
Awesome game room that is open 24 hours a day, tasty morning chocolate croissants at the cafe

PhilippinesNo bidet in the bathroom. The design of the bathroom was also very aesthetic, but that made it hella cold. No restaurant for food and even stuff like cocktails is a bit tough too. Our room also had one side with no working plugs.
The whole vibe of the place is great, and the rooms are very comfortable.

New ZealandI was staying with my colleague and you could see through the gap in the bathroom door to the toilet and shower, fine if you are with your partner but not great if you don't want someone seeing you in the bathroom. Our room also had a faint smell of cat pee but was otherwise fine.
Location was amazing, staff let us check in early and check out late with ease so very accommodating. Loved the chill area in the lobby and games room.

United States of AmericaI was frankly disappointed there was no microwave in the room -- or even in the whole place when I asked at the desk. On a work trip, I like to zap a meal sometimes. I consider that convenience essential.
The hotel was cleaner and newer than I expected. There was little sign that it was an old place with a fresh coat of paint. A nice refuge from the chaos of the Union Square zone.

United States of AmericaLots of extra fee’s tagged on after you check out. Almost 40$ a day for amenities - which we did not use. This should be included in the price of the room if it is a mandatory charge. They claim it is posted on booking.com when you make the booking but I have sent screen shots to prove otherwise with no reply from management

United States of AmericaThe lighting in the room was terrible. There was no light on one side of the bed, the overhead light was very dim. The chair for reading was so hard, it was like sitting on a piece of cement.
We got an upgrade to a larger room which was nice. The bed was comfortable.
