Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesSome bedsheets had stains, the in room coffee maker didn’t come with any coffee filters, and the was wallpaper ripping from wall. The room temperature was set to 55° but it felt like 80. Also hotel staff explained no information to me upon payment and receiving the room key, I had to ask for basic information such as floor and room number and facilities the hotel offers.

United StatesI didn't like that there was no alarm clock. I didn't like that the refrigerator seemed in the way. The floor wall protector near the bathroom came loose, the shower chair had no leg protectors.
Food and restaurant waitstaff was excellent. I liked that there was easy access to lots of outlets, no parking.

United StatesParking! I was okay with it, once I figured it out. But….. The website doesn’t tell you where to park; only that it costs $17/day. I called the hotel and the person told me that it was a short distance away. She failed to say that there was another parking structure with the SAME NAME that was on the next street and no the alleyway she failed to convey to me and my travel companions. All and all it wasn’t the biggest of deals. But I would have thought that a hotel the size of a 22 story Sheridan would have better instructions of where to park. It wasn’t just me. The people that I was meeting were just as confused.
It was clean and quiet. Great views of the surrounding area.

CyprusThe aircondition of our room wasn’t working properly the last day of our stay and it was really hot in August. The technician tried to fix it but without success, so they suggested to change room but we refused because it was our last day. Finally, they brought us a fan to pass the night.
