Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments

- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Location is very convenient for transportation but unfortunately the area is populated by many homeless people which give a bad appearance to the district.
Generally a good stay, Bed was comfortable, good shower. Continental Breakfast availability included in the rate is a plus but don’t expect a full buffet breakfast. Security of the entrance of the structure was good and always monitored by the receptionist.

Hotel is at the beginning of Tenderloin area coming from Union Square and at night it's unpleasant and could get unsafe. Breakfast was minimal. On the last day, the (old) elevator run out of service and had to manually bring the luggage for 5 floors
Staff was available to let me check-in late in the evening, much after requested time, as I came from outside SF. Price is very competitive compared to others.

The internet was awful, could not work properly. Would be great if the staff could give a pitcher/ jug/ big water bottle in the room. Also, tea/ coffee were not refilled in the room daily.
Very central, facilities are great considering the price, the staff are super helpful and always tries to sort any problem once reported.

Surrounding area of the hotel was not good looking
Breakfast was good could start earlier at 6 instead of 7. Location was central but no kerb appeal. Staff was really friendly and helpful.

The room smelled badly, air conditioner was right across the bed and it was blowing straight into my face, was noisy at night because of some machine working upstairs. Hotel location is near many places, but it’s at the end of Tenderlion, so many homeless people were right next to the door of the hotel. We were scared to go out and it was dirty outside the main entrance because of these people. Breakfast is included in price, but there was almost anything to eat (just coffee, tea, bagels, yogurt and some apples), no eggs or anything like that.
Room was clean, we got extra blanket easily, cleaning ladies were very nice and polite. Room and bathroom were quite in a good and fresh condition. They let us leave our luggage, all questions were answered. Good service. Hotel was locked and always under supervision of the front desk staff, so I felt safer (due to many weird people outside)

No wardrobe /closet /hangers and /or luggage rack. Everything else very good.
Location is perfectly central. Staff nice and friendly. Huuuge bathroom, decent room size, comfortable bed, very good quality of bed linen and towels. Very clean. Good wifi. Good air conditioning /heating. Even continental breakfast included in the price.

The room was a bit too small for two tall Scandinavians which also meant the bed was too small for us. The breakfast was OK. Though one of the morning the refill of coffee was none-existing!
Location of the hotel was absolutely perfect. Close to Powell St. and the cable cars. And close to Union Square and shopping/restaurants. The reception staff was super nice. Always helpful and with a smile.
