Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Netherlands- there was a kitchen, but apart from a micro wave there was literally nothing in it; what use is it then? - very noisy, we could easily hear the neighbours - everything is quite old - price-quality is soso, quite expensive for what it is
- free upgrade of room - private parking (not free however: 10$) - two small bottles of water were given upon arrival - fridge in the room

United States of AmericaSharing a bathroom is not ideal, but it’s what you sign up for when you book at the Farrington Inn. It is definitely one of the cheaper places to stay in that location, but honestly, it should be cheaper considering that you have to share a bathroom. Lastly, the floor of the room I stayed in was dirty. I felt like I had to wear my slippers or socks in my room at all times.
The location is great, parking is a huge plus, and the price was reasonable. The staff was also friendly and accommodating. Overall, I had a nice stay at the Farrington Inn. I also appreciated the free water bottles! :)

United States of AmericaThe shower was incredibly small and did not have any placeholders for soap or shampoo. I used the top corners of the door to hold my shampoo and realized a previously used soap bar was still on top of one of the shower door corners. No TV Remote. Plenty of cabinet/cupboard space but no utensils or cups. The room door/lock was worn, and needed a little finesse to ensure it locked when I left or entered the room. I feel like it was more of a downgrade than an upgrade. ****I would go back. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I did not communicate these issues during my stay as it was only one night and I was out for the day and didn't realize these shortcomings until later in the night when I came back. I am confident the staff would have made adjustments as needed if I had communicated it with them.
A last-minute "Upgrade" from a 2 bedroom room to a "studio" with no extra charge. This upgrade consisted of a very small room with a bed, microwave, mini fridge, sink, bathroom/shower, and closet. All in a very small compact room but met my expectations due to the last-minute booking, parking, location, price, and 1 overnight stay. The room did not have any utensils, cups, or a remote for the TV. It did have clean towels (3) a small bar of soap and 2 tubes of shampoo/conditioner, and 4 plastic plates in the cupboards.

United States of AmericaMany of the rooms have brown wall-to-wall carpeting that looks terrible, dirty and old. It would be great if the owners removed the carpeting and just had the natural wood floors.

KenyaThey need to have some important utensils in the kitchen unless they want visitors to come with their cups, spoons, plates and dishes. There was none in the kitchen. Charging usd 113 for a single room was rather too costly and totally not value for money.

United States of AmericaThis is old, not antique. If you want fancy, or modern, this is not your spot. The buildings are old townhouses that were broken up into small apartments, probably in the seventies. You may have to share a bathroom. The owners are fixing up the Inn, but it is seriously a work in progress.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The Inn was located in a residential neighborhood with businesses and restaurants only 2 blocks away. Off-street parking is available for a small fee. The Transit stop was a 6 minute walk. The linens were spotless, the towels soft and the beds comfortable. I had a safe, warm, soft, clean, solid nights sleep. And free wifi.
