One night , middle of the night as we arrived tired, they locked us out of our room !!!! It took the reception ( night shift ) a while to find out and explain very badly !!! Due to our bank authorization of 300 $ for our valet parking !!!!! The valet parking was charging us 61 $ per night. Why couldn’t do this on the first day check in ?!!! They knew then we have a valet parking for our entire stay !!! Why middle of the night !!! They could wait till morning !! Why Day shift blamed the night shift and explained it differently…… this is not a YMCA hotel and our car was a luxury suv. We had our clothes and everything in the room . You can’t just lock the guests out of the room without any warning, Massaging , Email , call , text. Etc They claimed they had no ACCESS to the Booking.com reservation !!!! Hence no message !!! They told us stories of losing so much money from people staying at hotel and leaving without paying !!!!!! Here is Washington DC for you !!!! Even at the safe place !! Anyway we got very much offended, exhausted and disappointed with all the hotel desk staff. That’s NOT definitely the way to get additional 300 $ authorization for the car valet parking middle of the night by locking the family’s room out. Specially that day we approached the desk several time for very SLOW valet parking. There were many opportunities to let us know….. very sad. It was like Inventing Anna movie . They trust no one and they treat you like that. This is called a very bad customer relation. And sadly this impacted heavily against all the great things that this beautiful hotel provided us. Beautiful, best location, close to White House and the only “safe spot “ in DC !! And you hear this from the locals . Bed sheets and towels are clean but why room is always dusty was beyond me !! ( I always have to dust off the room ). The rooms and furnitures are average old and in tear and wear conditions. Nevertheless we liked our room with big bathroom and nice windows to the street. Beautiful Lobby with polite doormen. Its restaurant was magnificent with service and quality of food.

I stayed at the hotel while at a conference and I found it to be a lovely hotel! The staff were gracious and attentive, the accomodations were comfortable and the ambiance was lovely. I felt very taken care of at the Hamilton Hotel.

The sofa bed in the suite was too soft and old that I can feel the spring sleeping there. Might be time to replace them.

Room views were limited, streaming service were offline, earlier check-in times, fold out sofa bed was lumpy and uncomfortable.

Historical hotel, staff was very friendly, beds recently replaced were very comfortable, quiet private rooms, good security measures, hotel is within walking distance to historical sites and restaurant on premise.

View on Franklin Park is beautiful, but it can get really noisy at night, even with locked windows at 7th floor. Restaurant was good, although a bit of a limited choice for breakfast.

The elevators were slow and some wee not in-service, which made 'rush' hour a bit challenging.

The location and the architectural significant building was lovely in a city with so much history. The staff was attentive, and the restaurant was lovely, with a great vibe.

The one downside were the pillows. After our third day they were pretty flat and not comfortable.

I loved the location, the hotel was very nice, I loved the charm, the water pressure in the shower was great (which is hard to come by), and the view of the park was lovely.

I wish that the hotel restaurant had more options for food.

I like that the Hamilton was central in downtown DC. Everything was walkable, or accessible by subway. The front desk and concierge were friendly and very helpful.

The restaurant and pop-up bar in the hotel couldn't add us on the reservation.

The only issue I had was when I went to get a water bottle. The staff at the front desk advised i should have a complimentary bottle in my room, but I didn’t and they could not supply another. I ended up having to walk to the CVS which was conveniently across the street. Really a minor issue overall, but it would have been nice if they would have supplied the water bottle.

There was a lot to like about this hotel. It was in a really nice location, right across from a beautiful park. The hotel restaurant was fantastic. The food was delicious, it was quick, and the staff was great. The room was clean, and the cleaning staff came everyday while i was out to make the bed. I liked that they came consistently at the same time. Overall I think this hotel represents one of the best deals available in DC.
