I don't have any complaints about the stay.

This hotel is right in downtown Silver City and within walking distance of everything in the historic area. The hotel had been remodeled at some point and they did a good job of keeping the original feel of the hotel. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful, the wifi good and it was a very good stayl

Parking, street parking only! You may or may not get a spot near the hotel. Continental breakfast was crazy! With it being a busy weekend, it didn't seem like they were very prepared. Breakfast foods ran short, and with only 1 coffee carafe guest standing around waiting for more coffee, the large seating area had very few tables/ chairs for such a large area.

The location was a plus! The room was a little warm with no ac, some rooms have them some don't. Luckily, the desk clerk was able to supply us with a fan. The room was small but comfortable, beds very comfortable. Rooms were quiet, and I never heard other guests.

The toilet was too close to the wall, the pillows were too springy. Over the air TV selection was sparse, no cable.

Well maintained art deco building, love the vibe. Nice that the room had a refrigerator and microwave. The bed was great. Nice continental breakfast.

I was struck by the appearance of the shared spaces in the hotel. Someone had obviously put a lot of time and attention into remodeling or restoring the building to its original splendor. It was like walking back into time while also having all the modern updates of a typical hotel.

The bathroom light stayed on almost all night. We had no way to shut it off. By closing the door, however, we were able to sleep at night.

Our room (pet-friendly) was ready when we arrived.

Room decor and bathroom were a bit shabby or tired. Very small bathroom. Staff was either over-worked or something because we frequently had to wait for someone at the front desk.

Quaint old historic place. Breakfast was convenient and good. Location was excellent

    There’s nothing not to like.

I love the building, the rooms and the proximity to my favorite eateries. I’ve stayed here many times and will continue to do so when I drive through town. I go from TX to CA several times a year and when I stop in Silver City I stay at The Murray

small dog barking for awhile a few rooms down when we were trying to go to sleep. The dog was probably left alone. We felt bad for it. Also the bathroom is very tiny, though it met our needs.

Location, ambiance, decor, music, history, friendly staff, coffee in the morning, comfortable beds, nice bedding, willingness of manager to get our window to open for ventilation so we could sleep

Relive 1930s comfort standards at this nicely restored historical hotel.

As my last review the parking is street parking next to a really high curb (there is a good reason why the curbs are so high, but you need to learn about the history of Silver City, and they provide a city history guide in your room. The other problem is because the bathrooms are small, it is hard to use the toilet flush handle. If they can get a different toilet tank configuration it will definitely make a difference.

This was my second visit at Murray Hotel, so I knew what to expect. This made my stay better than last time which was already excellent. Being a historical hotel from 1938, don't expect a resort environment. After a long day of driving I like that checking in was easy, the room cozy and comfortable with everything I need without looking around. Breakfast is provided but it is not readily known.

From my room (room 401) one can hear "loud talking" from neighboring rooms (same floor? below?) lasting well into the evening (~11PM). Of course, this is not the fault of the Hotel, but rather the clientele!

Feel how it was like to stay at a fine hotel in a mining boom town during the 1930s!

My only complaint was the parking. You have to park on the street, Silver City being an old mining town , the curbs and pavements along the streets are very uneven, be careful how you walk, you can trip,

If you like to imagine what a quality hotel was like away from the big city during the 1930s this is the place. The atmosphere, many of the furnishings and conveniences of the 1930s has been nicely restored. The standard of the 21st century such as safety are blended in nicely. The room is comfortable and cozy. The staff is top rate. I arrived in the evening and the desk person was great and friendly. I felt welcomed,
