The shower was older and the handles were squeaky. The walls are thin. You can hear everybody outside.

We had an ocean view balcony which was nice. The beds were very comfortable. The room was clean.

The beds are not comfortable and you cannot block out the light coming in from the very bright lights out on the patio. It made it hard to sleep.

Tight parking spaces if packed, but the whole area seemed like that anyways.

It was convenient, clean, and quiet. Although there weren’t many people staying in the area I was, it was a good night’s sleep. Like 10 to 15 mins walk to the beach, passing a cemetery. lol. I wish I could have stayed longer to explore more of the area.

I wasn't a fan of the room. There were a lot of defects in the room. The headboard to one of the beds had holes in it, the wicker chair was falling apart on the leg, the "bar" sink leaked even though we didn't use it. The holes in the bathroom door. The dressers had stains and scuffed up tops. The slider screen door didn't shut all the way. I think they need some remodeling. The rooms have potential but this trip didn't wow me.

We liked the balcony view and the close drive to the ocean. The staff was very friendly. The manager Even spoke with my husband about her family and my husband showed her an app on his phone about baseball cards auctions. Even though they don't advertise it. There is a mini breakfast, they are packed in cute boxes with a croissant, Bay Belle cheese, a little heart cookie, and mints. There is coffee and boxes of honest juice with a bowl of apples if you want.

The breakfast was poor. The staff no really heartful and welcoming. Business as usual atiitudes. But the place is okay... the beach is wonderful, I could see whales breaching. But the whole Pacific Grove Peninsula has been ruined by thousands of chalets and villas, it's 95 % private property, no place for a nature lover or amateur for authentic places. Therefore the attitude of the staff perfectly reflected the atmosphere out there in addition with mist and chilly temperatures.

I wish I would have been able to take a nice bath after such a long drive but the bathtub was stained black on the bottom and there was no water stopper to fill the tub.

The staff were super nice and attentive. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The Wi-Fi was easy to connect to. I loved how cute the area was and close to everything.

I would say we were happy with everything except that while we were out they came and left a fan in our room,even though we had a sign on the door saying do not disturb.I was first told they thought we might need one because of the heat.Later found out they had gone to the wrong room.

breakfast was ok ,love the location.My friend and I have been coming here for last last 6 yrs and enjoy the ability to walk pretty much everywhere we want.Love that the ocean is so close .Finally got to tour the lighthouse and really enjoyed it Lucy's nextdoor is a fun food place

It would have been ideal if there would have been an elevator. We were on the second floor and there was a lot of stairs to carry our suitcases up. Because of our age, it made it a little difficult. Next time, I’ll ask for the ground floor.

Staff was very friendly. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We were visiting a friend and the location was very close to where she lives.

I have stayed here before in the past but the property has become run down. What passed for rustic and funky has become rather shabby . Our second floor room was hard to reach due to mobility issues. The two flights of stairs were torture devices.

The rooms are layered in different levels, and so it's easy to see each other's rooms if the windows and doors aren't closed off with shutters since our rooms.had balconies. The shower is low, so it is not ideal for tall people.

The view from our room on the second floor had a direct view of the ocean. Quiet and peaceful.

The idea of the "French" family was to find the American-style motel off the beaten path. So, we weren't disappointed. Close to Monterey, Carmel, and the 17 Mile Drive. The US-made motel is ideally located, with comfortable beds, spacious rooms, coffee maker... everything is perfect... with peace and quiet (in May). A big thank you to the reception team who connected us on the chat for our arrival.
