Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomView was a little limited. The overhead shower was disappointing but there was a handheld one that was much more powerful...would have been better the other way round. Was fairly expensive but it was in NYC so to be expected really.
It was a great location and the included breakfast was a nice touch. Bed was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a good size and had a kitchenette which was useful.

United States of AmericaI wished they would add eggs and milk to the menu. Otherwise it was great.
I always checked the bed, bathroom walls, floors, and stairwells. They were impeccable. The staff was very kind and efficient. While it's in the middle of the buzz and frenzy of the city it gives you peace and quiet. There's also a hidden terrace in some units. But I think guests are not always allowed in. The breakfast was good 😊.

United KingdomNot much really ..... the use of plastic plates and cutlery at breakfast isn't very environmentally friendly. If it was recycled or re-used this would be better.
Hotel location is excellent and our room was very quiet especially considering where it it. Loved the fact that it was a boutique hotel - perfect size for us and no issues with waiting for the elevator. Great complimentary 'bag storage' upon arrival and departure. Room was plenty big enough, very modern and clean. Great toiletries and well stocked. Breakfast was fantastic: plenty of selection, well stocked and replenished regularly. 'Wine Hour' was a great touch and a most appreciated gesture. The Pearl is a great hotel - we definitely recommend it.

This hotel was absolutely lovely. We were impressed by the facilities and comfort of the room as well as the location. Particularly impressed by the staff ( Keegan) who was just so helpful and really made us feel welcome from our first meeting. The staff honestly make this place as they are more than happy to answer any questions and help you in any way they can. We loved the ‘wine hour’ which was a real treat. Will most definitely return

The room was fantastic--clean, pretty, & large. Loved that our room included both a fridge & microwave! Breakfast & all-day snacks were appreciated. Location was perfect for walking to theaters for shows & nearby restaurants. All staff we encountered were friendly & went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed--especially the bellmen. Thank you! Will definitely be back!

Hong KongThe sign that you can hang at the door was either Please make up room or Room occupied. We only like our rooms to be cleaned when we feel it's needed not every single day. However, even on the days we had the sign that says "Room occupied" The maides keeps knocking on the door asking to clean the room, also leaving messages on the VM saying that if they can't access it then they will come again regardless. One of the days they even just barged in while my wife was in the bathroom. That was a big giant turn off. Why have that option to say the room is occupied then if you're going to forcefully come into the room even when we ask you not to. That became very stressful as we had to guess if someone was gonna barge it, meanwhile we like to sleep in late. I called the front desk for a bottle opener one of those nights and the front desk person said "well we have one here at the front desk...(dot dot dot)" So I was like "Can someone please bring it to us?" He said "You can come down to get it or it'll be like 10-15 minutes before someone can bring it to you". Of course, no one came. I ended up opening it some other way but for $300 a night, the least you can do is bring me something. Even if there was no staff on hand because it was late. Then at least you could've said something like "We don't have enough staff on hand but would you mind coming down to pick it up yourself?"...instead saying something like "We have one here soooo..." He wasn't mean about it but at least you can explain the situation and not put the onus on me to figure it out. Even for something as trivial as a bottle opener. Breakfast was continental, so that's fine. But the plastic bowls and plastic forks and spoons made me feel like I was in a motel or something. The gym is laughable. The cable machine didn't work. There was no business center, which was unfortunate.
Location was good for tourists. Staff was generally nice but some improvements can be made. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about.
