There happened to be a wedding booked at the same time as our stay and there weee no parking spots available and tmany people waiting to check in when we go there. The staff did their best but it was an unfortunate coincidence that I would have chosen to avoid had I known before hand.

The show across the street at the Avalon Theater was fantastic. Our room was well situated and had a nice view of the town. The breakfast buffet was good offering a wide selection of well prepared foods at a modest cost.

The room was spacious however we found an odd leftover ball of something under the nightstand which had not been cleaned. The room refresh was great and much appreciated. When we called down to the reception to request towels (as a family of 4 we were only given 2 sets of towels) no one ever responded so we waited until the next day. The wait staff in the evening was absent, we had to ask for our drinks and our food. The food was GREAT. The breakfast staff was amazing and attentive.

We loved the central location. We traveled all over the area and the Inn was a perfect place to stay. Staff was so helpful and fun to engage with at any time.

Tiny, tiny bathroom…room for only 1 person at a time. Front desk personnel not at all friendly…a good sized group of cyclists checking in at once seemed to throw them off their game. $249/night on a Wednesday in October for a small room with a minuscule bathroom seems steep to me.

Wouldn’t extend check out even for an hour! Yet same staffer extended another person as we checked out right in front of me! He said he would have to charge me for a second night if we didn’t check out at 11am! I wanted to cancel two rooms we reserved for a wedding next year I was so mad! I still may!

When I booked my room the room rate was $249.00. When I checked in my room rate had jumped to $380.00. I never received correspondence stating the rate was going to be higher. It was a big surprise needless to say.

I did not sleep well in the bed. The mattress was a bit too firm for me. The room was a bit small. The shower was very compact. If I had been a 6 foot tall man weighing 200 lbs, the shower would have been a very tight squeeze for me. The heating and air conditioning cannot be adjusted in your room. It is set up on a universal system. Being on the 4th floor, the temperature was quite warm. Although I could not adjust the temperature myself, they did send up an engineer to see what could be done to adjust the temperature.

The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant and bar were warm and the food and drinks were delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere of an older building. We were expecting brunch on Sunday, but were greeted with a buffet instead. There was a nice selection of breakfast pastries, fruit and breakfast meats. The food was very good!

We stayed for 4 nights over Christmas. It would have been great to know in advance that the restaurant would be closed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We completely understand why but it would be helpful to know before and/or during check in so that we could make other plans, especially when we were in an unknown town without a car.

It is a cute, character property with loads of charm. Friendly staff. We love the log fireplace in the lobby.
