The toilet doors did not close

It has the perfect location. The are by the pool is very nice to chill or get some work done. The bed was very comfy. The communication with the staff was mainly by WhatsApp but it was very informative and effective.

Some things in the hostel need some maintenance - for example, the window net in our room (which had a lot of holes and we couldn’t open the window because of that due to many mosquitoes), the air conditioning in our room which didn’t work at all despite having the remote control and alerting the staff about it, one of the toilet’s doors which didn’t shut properly, etc.

Overall it was a good stay, I slept well in a comfy bed with curtains and quietness at night. Location was good too, as it was close to the beaches (east and west) as well as food stores, laundry, etc. There was space to park on the street next to the hostel (public parking), and the area felt safe. Most of the staff members were nice and informative and spoke good English.

Smaller, but nice hostel room in a walking distance from a lot of bars and restaurants. Easy and comfortable self check-in procedure that was very well explained beforehand.

After I booked the room i got a message with a website to pay, however this web site charges an additional 6%. Asked to be canceled. Was told to pay cash on site. In all my travels this was the first time.

Very complicated check- in system. Never got so many messages (mail, WhatsApp) after booking a hostel with instructions what to read, confirm, fill in etc before even getting there. The mandatory payment system didn't work and I wasted a lot of time trying to make it work and let the hostel know. Some staff (not all) were really ignorant/unfriendly. They gave guests the feeling that they were disturbing and annoying when f.e. using the kitchen. Hard to get a "hello" or eye-contact, even a reaction to a question Smiling not common obviously:-) (seems to me like there might be a general working athmosphere problem). It's a pity, since there are many written proverbs and sayings on the wall, claiming fun, good life and vibes and so on...

They charge $15 for breakfast. I never saw anyone eating it. When I checked out and wanted to leave my bag until 3:30pm they said they charge $10 to store it between 1-5pm. Who does that! I refused to pay and they said they would waive it but honestly it really left a nasty taste. Come on guys, you’re better than that.

The location is perfect, one block k from the beach abs near bars and restaurants. The private room was cool, dark at night and quiet so I got a good nights sleep. It is expensive but that’s PdE for you.

Pretty quiet / bit hard to meet people. Looks like the bar is permanently closed and breakfast cost 15 USD. Also be warned they’ll charge 6,5% to use a credit card and will text you incessantly to pay in advance online

I can only comment on the ladies dorm, rather cramped. The shower had no cleaning utensils e.g. mop, or soap/shampoo. It was usually wet everywhere. Towels were not offered. One toilet door couldn't be shut, and the other had little flushing power. There is a small shared kitchen, but pans and dish sponge need replacing. No filtered water is available for guests. Breakfast is pricey at $15.

Good location, close to the bus station and central plaza. There's a nice terraced area around the small pool, with lounge chairs, and another area with tables and chairs. Private rooms are probably the better choice.

In the hefty price of almost 150USD a night for a shared 8bed-bedroom, the towels were not even included which is a joke.

Location was good, bed was very comfortable. The garden/pool area is very nice and kitchen has everything you need. The staff is constantly cleaning. The shared bathroom was kept very clean.

The room is far from the expected when seeing the price they charge. To me "suite" has a very different meaning.

The hostel required a LOT of contact before arrival, which was difficult when traveling and would have been easier to resolve on arival or booking.

The fridge couldn't be plugged in at first - didn't have the correct adaptor. Took a couple of requests before this was fixed.

The room was well appointed and comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very nice. The location was good. The outside pool area is pleasant. It was quiet and peaceful.

The check in process itself was smooth, but prior to our arrival we received an excessive amount of messages from the host, many times repeating themselves.

The location was impecable and the room was great. I wish the bathroom had been slightly more comfortable.

Since it's low season, there was nobody at the reception. They send me a site through Whatsapp to handle payment, and though it was safe in the end, is not comfortable to handle it like that. If I would have known communication was going to be like that, I would have not rent with them.

It was in a good location. The building is an old house, but is really cute. It seems as a fun place on the summer (it was winter in my case).

They seemed short-staffed. Receptionist was also working at the bar, which weren't near to one another. Bar was closed more than open during my stay. The shared men's bathroom was small for the number of beds. It was also usually wet and messy. No paper towels or air dryer was provided in the men's bathroom. The place has so much potential with pool and bar, but execution is sub-par.

Matress wrapped in plastic. Good for young people who want to party but loud until midnight, not greatif you prefer to sleep early. Area not as nice at night. Private room is pricey for the city.

There was really nothing for us that we didn’t like.

The location is excellent as are the staff. The rooms are really comfortable, with a good bathroom and little fridge. We had an apartment which was perfect for our small family group. We were given some great suggestions to explore Ponte del Este and the surrounding towns. Overall we were really happy and would return to TAS D VIAJE Suites again.

Unfortunately the kitchen was closed quite early and opens quite late so I had to rush/wait to prepare food. For me that’s a no go in a hostel.

All in all the Hostel is quite a Good Choice! Nice Location and very friendly people.
