I wasn't expecting a 5-star experience, but I was a little surprised how basic the room was; a refurbishment is long overdue. There was no safe in the room, which surprised me, so I mentioned this to the front desk staff. To their credit, a safe was provided and (I think) bolted into my wardrobe. So all OK. Hotel pretty tired looking; such a shame, because its location (riverside and very central to restaurants/bars/shops etc) should make it the perfect choice.

I chose the hotel primarily for its location, overlooking the river, and it didn't disappoint. I was on a high floor, river facing, and the morning views (once the mist had disappeared) were fantastic. Restaurant and front desk staff were lovely. Nice pool. Room a very generous size. Breakfast buffet OK, One other thing to mention: I needed some medical help when in Hue, and visited the small pharmacy about 1/2 minutes from the hotel, on Pham Ngu Lao (a small shop a few stores up on the right hand side of the street as you walk up from the hotel). The lady pharmacist there was fantastic and, over the three days I was there, went above and beyond to treat the (pretty severe) sunburn on my back (the one downside of travelling alone; when you go snorkelling, it's difficult to put sun block on your back! I'll wear a shirt next time!) each day. She (and her daughter, also very kind and super-helpful) couldn't have done more for me; she was very professional and I was so grateful.

The hotel is a bit dated but that didn’t spoil our stay at all.

The position of the hotel was fantastic…. Right by the river and opposite the weekend d walking street area. The dragon boat dock is next door. Book a room with a river view…. Nice and quiet with great views.

The location was very central, and still we heard no noice from the riverside room. The staff was very friendly and helpful and helped us to buy and print train tickets. We recommend this place.

Breakfast could could be more inspiring, but it was fresh and served with a smile.

Staff was super sweet and helpful, suggesting and booking tours. Room was clean and large, the fresh fruit upon arrival was a nice touch (though not sure I'd that's only during Têt) Great location, easy to get to both imperial city and the more touristy restaurant /party area.

Location was good...lots to see within walk distance as well as restaurants, shops, spas & a couple late night spots. Get a river facing room if you want totally quiet. Pool was lovely. Room huge & really nice. Didn't eat there so can't comment on that.

This hotel seems to be popular with groups & also with event managers. As a result the public areas can get very noisy. If you abhor noise this is not the place for you.

For the first 3 nights I had booked a river-view room which was extremely nice - spacious, high ceilings, comfortable, good water pressure & a view to die for. These being fully booked, for the 4th night I moved to a garden-view room. I greatly missed the river view! The ladies at reception, specially Ha & Celine were warm & helpful. Ha arranged some great tours for me; particularly enjoyable was the Tam Giang Lagoon Tour conducted by Mr Blu. The breakfast was an extensive buffet spread served in an area overlooking the Perfume River. One got to sample many of the Hue specialities. Delicious & nicely presented, but the servers were a bit over zealous & in a hurry to clear up before one was finished. Last, but not least, this hotel is excellent value for money! I'm happy I was not influenced by some negative reviews I had read.

Probably should have asked for a bathmat in the bathtub/shower. After a massage the oil coming off after a shower made it quite slippery. My fault however not theirs

our room looked over the perfume river and it was a fantastic view. Breakfast was very good and the view from the terrace was the best. Staff was exceptional. They helped with an internet problems and were always friendly and helpful.

This hotel's location was ideal, with lovely grounds and landscaping.. The staff was very accommodating, especially, NGAN who assisted us to print our boarding passes, and the morning attendant who allowed us a quick coffee and roll before official breakfast time. Unfortunately the weather didn't allow us to take advantage of the pool, but the view was remarkable.

Nice spacious rooms. Large bed. The hospitality of the ladies at the reception (Ngan and Thi and another colleague) was great - they were very helpful! Also early checkin and use of pool after checkout were possible.

There was a banging noise in the room that we couldn’t stop but ear plugs drowned it out enough to sleep.

The location right next to the river was great and 15 minutes to the Imperial City on foot over the bridge. The Tombs are further out to visit. Staff were very helpful and the bed was comfy. We had a river view and breakfast each day on the restaurant veranda was lovely overlooking the river.

The restaurant was very quiet and we felt a bit awkward eating there like we weren’t expected to have dinner there but chose to because of the weather . The spa was having refurbishment so we couldn’t use this service .

No cocktail bar by the pool
