We had a very pleasant stay in our "Glamping" Tented Treehouse. We enjoyed the quiet surroundings and it was so nice to have a peaceful stay. The treetop views from the wooden deck was beautiful. We could relax and have a good rest. It was fun taking part in the feeding of the farm animals and to see the daily procedures of this working farm. The home-made ice-cream were so creamy and really delicious! We also enjoyed part of the farm hiking trail down to the small dam. Marcelle and Mia are very friendly hosts and we appreciate their hospitality. We will definately recommend Fernhill to fellow visitors. Greetings Elmarie & Johann

Leaving!!!!

Where to begin!? The amazing, friendly staff, Marcelle and Mia; the comfortable accommodation; the peace and quiet of a tented treehouse to reconnect with nature; the spa bath by candlelight while listening to soft rain pattering on the tent roof... I really had the most memorable stay at Fernhill and truly regret I did not book for more than one night. The farm walk is great for stretching the legs. And being able to meet the farm animals was exciting, particularly milking a cow for the first time since 19-voetsek! Also do yourself a GIANT favour and don't leave here before trying some of the delicious Fernhill foodie goodies, like the locally-made ice cream which is ohhhhh soooo gooooooood and creamy. The roasted macadamia nuts also had me going back for more. The Reenendal road leading to Fernill from the N2 has been recently tarred and is in great condition. Only the last kilometer or two to the farm is a dirt track in a fair condition, passable by any vehicle. Ten out of ten, I honestly can't wait to go back and stay for longer.

Overall, I have no complaints. The water temperature of the shower varied a lot between hot and cold, but the host made us aware of that from the start.

The stillness away from the madness of city life, waking up to all sorts of bird songs in a big, comfortable bed, being so close to nature, and having the opportunity to interact with the farm animals. On top of that, the hosts were friendly and made us feel welcome.

This tent has the most incredible views. And the tents are spread out so you have complete privacy. The tent is spacious and the spa bath is awesome! There are farm animals all around and just creates a very peaceful getaway.

The location is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in winter and we were quite surprised at how comfortably warm the tent was. The bed is also very comfortable especially with the electric blanket in the winter. The spa bath with a view was lovely. It is the perfect place to escape the busy city life for a while and just relax. If you want to get away and just relax you can stay on the farm comfortably for a few days without leaving. However, if you would like to explore and do some more activities there is a lot to do in nearby areas. Thank you for the brownies, it was delicious.

Everything was good

Lovely quiet location. Particularly enjoyed having a jacuzzi bath in the treehouse and watching the monkeys playing in the treetops while bathing. Delicious dairy products available from the farm and fun interaction with the farm animals.

I can with all honesty say that there was nothing we would have wanted to change.

We loved being surrounded by nature, getting away from our busy lives at work just being at peace in what felt to be the middle of nowhere. Our tent was amazing with the most beautiful views and of course not to forget our little for legged visitors every now and again.

The water for bathing was not very clean, but the owner warned us about this, and they are going to change the filter. Also, first days of our stay the weather wasn't good, and this was the worst thing there. So we are going to check the forecast before the next visit and stay for a longer time.

The service was perfect. When a very strong wind blows away part of the tent, it was fixed immediately. the owners provide us with a lot of nice farmers' food. This is a very nice and quiet place.

Only the power cables disturbed the view.

The view from the tree tent was brilliant. Only the power cables disturbed the view unfortunately. However, we were warmly received at the property when we arrived, the room was neat and clean, with a little "something" on the bed for us. The farm life was alos really good. We had the opportunity to milk one of the cows, there was fresh, real milk available, and they sell real ice cream. My family enjoyed the farm animals and the beautiful cat. The bathroom with the large window was a real treat, and we could watch the fire from the bath.
