To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

We booked for an extra day and didn't use the bookings.com AP and got charged the same I thought that was ridiculous. You should make your guest want to return instead of leaving a negative feeling.

South AfricaI think value for money. If it was a bit less expensive I would have given it a 10. They upgraded my room to a sea view (because Alam is so kind and wonderful) but I can’t imagine paying 50$ to NOT have that view. Maybe the price is for the area of UmHalanga- not sure but overall I would still recommend this place for sure. I had a great stay. I saw all the breakfast comments and it’s true. Maybe FRESH coffee and BETTER bread and fresh cut up fruits would help BUT THAT BEING SAID I was given apples and bananas and they made me oatmeal to accommodate so often it’s better just to communicate instead of waiting to give poor reviews.
The staff are very helpful. The room was spacious and had an amazing sea view. Good strong wifi. Load shedding does NOT affect them as they have a back up which I have come to appreciate travelling in South Africa. The location is safe but you have to Uber anywhere. Good if you have a car. Beautiful gorgeous boardwalk is 20 min walk away!
