There was nothing for me not to like.

The room was very comfortable with a pleasing outlook. The bathroom had some nice additional thoughtful touches. Breakfast was served in a lovely outside covered area in the calm peaceful garden and was excellent.

The property was wonderful. We were warmly treated by the owner , Balbalina , and her friendly staff. The cottage was well equipped with everything that one would need. It was quiet. It also had a lovely pool. It was clean. We got good advice about where to eat and visit.

The crockery and kitchen equipment was very minimal. No kitchen scissors were provided but I guess I could have requested some. Would have liked more comfortable furniture in the living room say a couple of armchairs. Aircon in the bedroom would have been a great asset. However we were very pleased with the accommodation.

We loved how spacious the accommodation was. The staff were very helpful and charming. The outside space was nicely secluded. Both the pool and garden were nicely arranged and furnished. Agood location.

- it might get chilly during winter months, but there is a heater and they kindly provided hot water bottles which are very nice to have.

So many positives! We stayed in 16 white house, which is a 3 bedroom self catering house with 3 bathrooms. The house is an old house with spacious bedrooms and wooden floors. The styling isn't old fashioned, the house is immaculate, the bathrooms are modern and the house is well equipped, with attention to the smallest detail of what you could need for a weekend away, eg hairdryer in every room. This house has a lovely private braai area (BBQ) with a roof over the seating area. This meant that we could enjoy a BBQ even when it was raining. The property consists of a guest house, a small SC cottage, and the SC house that we rented. It consists of more than one stand that is combined and that's sharing a garden with some fruit trees and a swimming pool which all guests can use. The guest house also has a communal braai and outside kitchen area if you are staying in the main house or in the smaller self catering cottage and want to get together at the outside area. Although we didn't make use of the breakfast options, I do believe they are very good as the owner is a chef. Another positive is the fact that there is an inverter and battery system in place, and although not fully off the grid, with responsible management of the battery usage over a weekend, you would have sufficient electricity at all times. The property is in town, in a quiet street, 2 blocks away from the very busy town centre. The owner, Balbina, was always available for any questions, and went out of her way to be helpful. This is a real gem, absolutely ideal for a group of friends, or a family with adult children.
