Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsThere was no reception like a ‘normal’ hotel, the main pool is very small with a small amount of sunbeds. Lunch at the pool wasn’t good.
Beautiful location and view, and the room we stayed in (Mountain View) was decorated beautifully.

United States of AmericaMusic selection should be quiet at breakfast and build up. Staff changes play list on our request.
Beautiful location. Ask about details of check out as we missed that and were not informed when we left the beautiful small building we stayed in. The assistance to the gate is via a golf cart. The shuttle is what locals call the wine tour bus.

SwitzerlandBreakfast room had a lot of flies each morning and the food on the buffet was not properly covered thus made us quite uncomfortable to eat some of the products (eg yoghurt , bread, fruits). We ordered from the a la carte/catalogue instead. Also some staff , while generally accommodating and friendly ,it was obvious that they were not trained for this type of hotel setting. Finally despite the fact that I booked and paid for a manor house luxury suite via booking.com, eventually I was allocated to a smaller Mountain View room. The room was clean and nicely decorated however it was certainly not the same as the photos I saw while booking the room.
Specious and with great decoration room, nice setting with vineyards and beautiful views, well maintained garden, good location only 10 mins drive from stellenbosch and only 5 mins from popular wine tasting places (eg Delair Graff, Tokara etc).

United States of AmericaBeautiful property, immaculate, well decorated /styled rooms for this vineyard in Banhoek that aligns with the price. The Mountain View rooms have an incredible view, both day and night. Wine tasting on site as well as a great dinner that can be specialized to meet diverse needs. Friendly staff. Gorgeous robes provided by Indulgence Spa Products of SA, which are available for purchase at reception. The property had a water break on our 2nd night which was a huge inconvenience, but when prompted did provide a discount. Buy a robe from this property, available at reception as these are heavenly!

GermanyThe staff is very nice, but breakfast service was slow. It is a bit unfortunate that there is no option to get food after 2PM, so you definitely need to go somewhere else for a late lunch and/or dinner. The hotel put together a nice folder with recommendations though.
Beautiful hotel and surroundings, we would have loved to stay longer. Especially the cottages are amazing and very private. There is a folder with lots of recommendations and activities and the staff is very helpful. The breakfast selection was really good as well.

SwitzerlandThere are only two starters and main courses available for dinner. This is not enough for such a nice location especially when you stay more than one night.

GermanyIt’s difficult to find any minuses of the property, but I would mention: - very small common pool; - the quality of the dinner is still far away from great. It definitely needs some improvement. - Hot tub is being heated up the whole day. So when it’s +30 degrees outside, it’s very unpractical and doesn’t make any sense to use it during the day. Maybe they could heat it up only in the evening? - Small details matter : we took some cider/beer from the mini-bar, but could don’t find a bottle opener in the room, so we had to run through the whole property to find anyone, who could help us to find it. In the end we didn’t :)
What a beautiful location! The view to the mountains and the vineyards is breathtaking! The atmosphere in the hotel is absolutely peaceful, relaxing and romantic. We’ve stayed in the Mountain View executive suites with a private hot tub. The room was spacious, clean, richly decorated. Amazing bathroom! The bed was very comfortable as well. The breakfast was splendid, lots of fruits, cheese, cold cuts and menu options : very nice!

The location is ideal at the gorgeous and exclusive Molenvliet estate. Delicious wines and food, staff were always smiling and helpful. Truly 10/10.

United States of AmericaInitially we thought the site was a little remote, being a few miles out side of the Stellenbosch township. But with Uber we were able to go to and from town when ever we wanted, even late night dinners.
We stayed in the Manor house executive suite. Which is a room in the main house on the property. The room was large and well decorated and the view was amazing. Breakfast was served in the dining area opposite our room and attended by a great staff and breakfast choices. The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and when we decided we wanted to do some last minute wine tasting in Franschhock, They had a guide to take us out for the afternoon.
