You can’t go wrong here - beautiful nature with fantastic, safe walking opportunities. Home-cooked, traditional food which was such a treat! We absolutely loved our stay at Valley Bushveld Lodge.

Nothing: we loved the theme and our small room was perfect for our 1 night stay.

This is a lovely lodge that has a safari theme and is dedicated to giraffe game drives: do not miss this! They do not have wild animals so you can get off the safari vehicle and walk next to the giraffes!! That was such a highlight! The room was as advertised and the dinner we booked was very nourishing and good: but the giraffe drive was amazing!

Property is perfect, but just to notes that it is quite a long drive to Addo.

The giraffes… an absolute highlight! Game drive and walk with Kerneels. Also being able to walk in the reserve and see animals and birds. Big rooms, very comfortable. Lovely lounge and dining area. Great food. Lovely people.

We had an amazing stay. The dinner cooked by the hosts was incredible. It is a must to book the giraffe safari on the farm itself. This was an experience we will never forget. In addition, Vanessa was so lovely in giving us so many tips for the Addo park and a safari (incl. visit times, safe roads etc.)

The staff was friendly but not very personal (what we prefer, but that’s personal:)). The swimming pool is a bit small but nice to cool down.

The view and surrounding in the nature is very beautiful and relaxing. We visited the Addo Park from there, which is pretty close. The food was freshly prepared. We had a nice stay!

The location was stunning. We loved all the animals that live in the estate. The staff was exceptionally friendly and also really helped us with all our questions regarding our visit to the Addo Park. We also had breakfast and dinner at the location which I would highly recommend. The vegetarian option we took was very good. We also did a giraffe game drive at the lodge which was awesome. We got very close to the giraffes which was magical.

Stunning location, great food, awesome game drive at the property and hosts who were more than friendly, helpful and welcoming. The drive to Addo is not that far. About 45 minutes. Can recommend this accommodation a 100%.

Always a pleasure staying at this lodge. Warm welcomes, cozy common area and fantastic meals are served for breakfast/dinner. Be sure to do a game drive while there.

The food was not meant for vegans or gluten-free eaters, even if it looked like it would be not a big deal to leave diary aside and just have some good cooked vegetables. That was a little sad for one of us. I had to bring my own food for the whole stay and there was no fridge in the room. I think that’s important to know.

We really loved the location and the stuff was so nice. The view was perfect in the morning and the giraffe safari was really exceptional!

Best lodge! So welcoming and friendly! Our room was a dream, with lots of nice African destsils. Dinner and breakfast were delicious! But most incredible are the giraffes! A safari with Kerneels is simply the best… you learn how to approach the giraffes etc. his enthusiasm after 17 years of being with giraffes is amazing and contagious. We want to come back!

This property offers something very special, it has approx 15 resident giraffes, zebras, antelope. They offer er a drive in the evening to explore the farm and find the giraffes- we were able to get out of the vehicle and walk with the giraffes- what an incredible experience. Kerneel’s love of the wild life was clear to see. We sat in the cosy lodge a couple of times and Kerneel lit the log fire for us -Thank you for giving us such a wonderful experience and such a relaxing time.

This is an owner run lodge and I cannot speak highly enough. Their care and attention is second to none. We had a suite which is large and beautifully furnished. Comfortable beds, lovely linen, very spacious bathroom.

The room was very good lodge accommodation. Position at top of a valley with nice garden and a view of the veld and game on opposite side of valley was great. Guests can take a walk around the surrounding farm and there is a very good chance of seeing Zebra, many Giraffe, Impala, Black Impala and several other big animals, I couldn't name. When we drove from lodge to main gate we came very close to approx 10 giraffe and several zebra - without even trying. Another real highlight of the stay was the dinners!! Vanessa and her daughter, Heinri, do a truly outstanding job - its like a top restaurant but only a few diners each night. The lodge is well positioned for a visit to Addo Elephant park - which is another great trip.
