Breakfast and evening meals were lovely - including both vegan and gluten-free options. We had a family room which was perfect for us and our teenage daughter as the sofa bed is in a separate area to the main bedroom. The main bedroom was small but was fine for us. If you're on foot, the hotel is only a 15 minute walk from Lymington town train station, and less than half an hour to walk round to Lymington Pier if you plan to take the ferry over to Yarmouth.

It is definitely a gem of a hotel, it was a historic Manor House for the Siemens family but it has retained its charm and period features. It has uninterrupted views over to the Needles! The staff were very helpful and attentive. The food was delicious and served in the dining room with the sea view. Our favourite spot was the covered balcony upstairs, a lovely place to sit and relax looking at the sea view.
