Rooms are huge and spacious and comfortable. Aircon was lovely and cold.

Boasting an outdoor swimming pool, free BBQ facilities and a free airport shuttle, Saltbush Retreat is a 3 minutes’ drive from Australian Stockman’s Hall of Fame and Qantas Founders Museum. The self contained accommodation offers free transfers from airport, train and bus stations on request. We were really happy with our stay at the saltbush retreat. Everything was clean, the staff was friendly (even woke up from his siësta to let us in!). Our house even had an oven which we hadn't had for a long time. I would recommend going back

Wendy and Ron went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and had a much appreciated upgrade. Ron also picked us up from the train station and dropped us back as well. Highly recommend. Lovely surroundings and very comfortable country hospitality. Thank you and good luck in your new venture.

We had a perfect stay and many thanks to Steve and Leesa who are wonderful hosts. It was lovely to see a family of brologas visiting on the front lawn. Winton has so much to offer tourists.

No breakfast, as they are renovating the hotel. Meal at night was delicious in a lovely dining room with big open fire to relax in comfy lounge while we waited for our meal.

A unique Outback experience with very hospitable hosts. The outdoor spa was heavenly - so relaxing. We had a lovely long soak with wine in hand watching the sun go down. Our dinner was absolutely delicious, as was breakfast. I have never before met a cow who enjoys sitting by a campfire! Our bed was very comfy and we loved being able to have our little dog with us.

Loved our stay here in one of the gorgeous cottages. Staff were very helpful and the whole place was lovely. Great location within walking distance to the Qantas Museum and the Stockman Hall of Fame. Very well equipped cottages with amazing outdoor baths to relax in as we enjoyed a sunset or sunrise. Absolutely fabulous. Will be back and would highly recommend to anyone visiting Longreach 😊
