Even though we arrived almost at midnight, due to the delay with the bridge crossing, the owner waited for us. We had clean beds, 2 bathrooms, an eating room and a well stocked kitchen. It was great value for the price paid.

Danube Plaza Hotel is situated in the heart of Ruse and right at Svoboda square. It offers air conditioned rooms, free Wi-Fi access and a variety of restaurants. The staff are super lovely, the location of the hotel is excellent. Breakfast may be a little surprising to the first time traveller to Bulgaria but it is substantial and varied. You can sit outside and view the square with coffee and just chill. The restaurant food is very good too if you don't want to go out for a stroll, but it's hard not to with so much going on around you. Lovely for the solo traveller and for families.

Byggingin á Anna Palace Hotel var byggð árið 1888 og er byggingarminnisvarði. Framhlið hótelsins hefur verið enduruppgerð í upprunalegan nýklassískum stíl. The staff were very accommodating and I loved our corner room with a view of the Danube.
