Established in 1887, the 5-star Splendide Royal with its turn-of-the-century character is Lugano's most fashionable hotel, located on Lugano's lakeside main street. Brilliant spa which felt very luxurious. Lovely decor and big clean room and bathroom. Helpful staff who were there to help us with anything we needed. Perfect location close to the centre and right on the lake.

Ideally situated in the centre of Lugano, LUGANODANTE Boutique & Lifestyle Hotel is within 300 metres of Lugano Station and 1.3 km of Exhibition Center Lugano. The family room was quite big for 4 people. The living area fits one sofa bed and one foldable bed. There are sliding door to separate the bedroom and living area totally which was ideal. Bathroom and toilet are large and separated. The food and service in the restaurant was fantastic, we stayed on Christmas Day had lunch and dinner in the restaurant and both were tasty! The breakfast buffet was great and extensive! Very happy with the location too, just at the bottom of the funicular.

The location was amazing and in short walking distance from the top of beautiful Monte Bré. We've also done a bit of hiking around the neighbourhood and it was a peaceful quiet area with wonderful panoramic view all over Lugano Lake. The room was small with a fit in bathroom but it was stylishly furnished, had a nice relaxing atmosphere with a little balcony facing the cute church outside and the bed was very comfortable. All in all it was super convenient for a short stay. The host was also very friendly and we were served a lovely breakfast in the morning. We would definitely stay again! :)
