I love this place. Spacious room, nice pool, tasty breakfast, proximity to beaches, good ventilation, etc…

The property was well maintained and a true Authentic getaway. We truly felt Costa Rica surrounded us here. The location was perfect and beach front. The food was outstanding and fresh. We tried a few other places to eat in town and couldn’t find anything better than Ocho. The staff make you feel comfortable and cared for. They were right there for all our needs and more assuring our stay in Costa Rica was second to none. Thank goodness for air conditioning. The Bungalow was top notch and beautiful. We stayed in both 8 and 9. Only suggestion is to have hooks in the bathroom for towels and wet clothing and more space for clothing in bungalow 8. If you are looking for an experience of a lifetime Ocho Bungalows will not disappoint! Very romantic and exotic! We loved our pool time as well, massages on the beach, beach bar hopping, our private sailing afternoon, spa day, I could go on and on! Thank you to all!

One of the most wonderful trips ever!! Ximena made me feel like family!! She is an absolute gem and always made me laugh! When I had to leave, I actually cried the night before and also in the morning when I was leaving and hugging goodbye because I was going to miss everything - from Ximena greeting me with her delicious plates of fresh fruit each morning, sweet Ruby and Bella (dogs) keeping me company each evening out on the terrace, Botas the cat coming around to say hello, the rooster outside in the yard behind our rooms serving as my early-morning alarm clock a few times (that was actually funny!), and my favorite of all - the sweet little bird in the tree each morning singing, “Beeeeeeeeep!” ☺️ The property sits on a hill and the rooms (there are four) are built up in a treetop-style loft. There is a spacious outdoor community-style kitchen where you can cook your own meals if you’re on a budget or don’t feel like going out to eat every night. There is a supermarket and pharmacy right next door. There is a large terrace outside of the rooms with tables where you can sit, relax, enjoy breakfast, or read a book to unwind after a day at the beach. The rooms are spacious with a minibar and a wooden armoire to place your belongings. Beach towels are graciously provided. I absolutely loved this place! I did NOT want to leave - ever. Also, it’s a ten minute walk to Brasilito beach and a twenty minute walk to Playa Conchal, one of the most beautiful beaches you will ever visit. Great place to stay! So calm and nice location! Marie the admin was super nice, the hotel was so easy to check in, our room was wonderful! Super safe!

The property is surrounded of nature so peaceful, the swimming pool is really nice and the food at the restaurant was amazing.

Well kept property and very clean. We enjoyed the swimming pool very much. It is a short walk to the city center and the beach. You can book a breakfast at additional cost. We tried out different external breakfast options and liked Malehu the most for its great coffee. Sun umbrellas and chairs can be borrowed, which was awesome. Our room was very nice, much nicer than shown in the photos.

Cala Luna is one of the best boutique hotels I have visited. It sits in lush jungle in Playa Langosta, close enough to town but far enough that it feels peaceful and private. Howler monkeys, birds, and beautiful gardens make it feel like a true Costa Rica hideaway. The rooms and villas are spacious, clean, and beautifully done. Villas with private pools are especially nice. The main pool area is relaxing, breakfast is excellent, and the farm-to-table food is a real highlight. The sound bath class was wonderful. It was calming, beautifully done, and the instructor was lovely, warm, present, and genuinely caring. What stands out most is the staff. They are incredibly helpful, and attentive. It feels like the people who run this hotel live here. They care about every detail and make sure everything is available and done to a high standard — from the rooms and grounds to the food, wellness classes, and little extras. Nothing feels overlooked. The beach is a short walk away, sunsets are beautiful, and the whole stay feels personal and well-run. Highly recommend. We would definitely come back.

Great stay, nice staff, wonderful installation, clean and comfortable rooms. They include a beach front club access totally free. The view is very nice.

When we arrived there was updates going on but did not interfere with much. The staff were excellent and accommodating. The owner happened to be there and came over and introduced himself and made sure we were taken care of. Great location, great staff, most comfortable beds I have slept in.

We enjoyed staying at the hotel La Palapa. The hotel is in a great location right on the beach. the sunset was amazing and we could enjoy it right from our deck. The staff was great and went above and beyond to accommodate our requests.
