Lovely building with great character and personality. Restaurant and breakfast was top notch. Staff were friendly and most helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The food served in the bar was excellent. You need to go hungry! Service is also excellent. Both at dinner and breakfast there is a great choice on the menu. Location is excellent. A short walk to the beach and also to the station, for a regular train service to Liverpool centre. We always enjoy our stays at The Royal.

Centrally located in a lively part of the city centre surrounded by bars & restaurants. The location is excellent, everything is within walking distance – both the bus station (5 minutes on foot at a relaxed pace) and the train station (10 minutes on foot at a relaxed pace). A bus that goes directly to the airport stops just 20 meters from the hotel entrance. The surroundings are quiet and peaceful, yet there are still functioning clubs, bars, restaurants, and convenience stores open all night. The room is great, and the kitchen is well-equipped with all necessary utensils. A tip for travelers: check which adapters you’re bringing for charging your devices. We had to find alternative solutions because our adapters didn’t fit the sockets.
