Located in Barisciano in the Abruzzo Region, 16 km from L’Aquila, Convento di San Colombo is set in its garden and it features a children's playground and views of the mountain. Staff was amazing, breakfast excellent and they made drinks for us in the afternoon and recommended restaurants nearby. Very quite and calm. Our room was cozy and warm even when super cold outside.

During our stay we got a feeling of living in an old Italian city, it was very atmospheric. The breakfast is Italian style, it was exactly what we needed to start the day. Highly recommended.

Mario's wife met us and showed us all the nuances of the place, how to get lights on and how to use the coffee maker. The place was modern with a clean and comfortable environment. A breakfast box was provided each day with coffe pods and a variety of snacks. It is also located near a walking and bike path along the sea. There is also an awesome restaurant less than a block away. Great value for the money.
